Well, from this post living without TV actually depends on what prospect the individual is referring to because there are several ways ones usage of television can be expressed. Now, if you are referring to just making use of television as a means of gathering information and news, then I would say that it's very much possible for someone to live his or her life completely without having the need for television.

But there are other things that are involved with television in which one would feel the need to have access to every now and then without interruption. This can be found in situations where one makes the use of television as his source of leisure as well as relaxation. In this case, such individual would definitely find it very difficult to live his or her life without the use of television.

If I'm being honest, I'm among the category of individuals that simply cannot afford to do without the use of television on daily basis. If I should try and get the number of hours I normally spend watching the television in a day, it's probably within the range of 10 hours on daily basis. I happen to get so addicted to watching Television Series, especially ones with seasons up to 5. I can still vividly recall when I started watching the seasonal movie 24, a day never pass without my spending more than 12 hours with my eyes fixated on the television screen.

I would actually like to point out that the reason why I'm taken with television viewing so much is probably because I'm an indoor type of person, I'm very much comfortable being indoors all by myself and watching all sorts of movies on the television than going out to do any other thing as a means of catching fun. As long as there is uninterrupted electricity, food and stock pile of movies to watch, I'm 100% good at home.

I think I could definitely go without tv cause there is so much more to do than just sitting around watching tv and plus I love the outdoors so it wouldn't be a problem for me at all and it would give me more time just to enjoy life and be more active.

Yes. It's possible to live without watching TV. In this generation that we are in right now so many technologies has replaced TV, you don't need to own a TV know what is happening in the world so far you can access your Internet with your phone or laptop ect.

For months now i have stayed without watching television and i still keep in touch with news around the world because i have my Internet.

With access to my Internet I communicate with my friends whenever am boredom. So it's very possible to live without TV.

It is possible to live without TV if you have a computer with internet connection.
You can watch every channel online on your PC. If you pay for it.
Also monitor size is similar to TV. So you will never miss TV.

We have time for everything and everyone by not having a TV at home. Important news that affect us in anyway will however reach us in some form.Like the demonetization news
which was shared to us on SMS, whatsapp and
newspapers, etc. It's very possible to live without it.

Nowadays, yes it is possible. Almost everybody has a smartphone and you can access almost any shows, news and even movies without a television. It's just quite sad because watching tv is one of the ways that a family bonds. But because of the fast advancing technology it seems that everybody is just minding their own world and contented alone with their phones.

Yes, it is very much possible to live without the television especially in this twenty first century. Nowadays people have a variety of tasks to perform that time spent on television is minimal.

The answer to that question is hard though.Personally, there was a time I stayed without a tv set in my house and I can for sure confess it was the most boring time and I could find myself checking on my friends occasionally just to make sure I have a glimpse of the tv. Thus to me, I tried and it was very hard I cant live without a tv it forms an important part of my life. This is also because am a football fan and watching on tv is much better than streaming from my mobile phone or computer.

Thus depending on what is your interest is, you can live with or without a tv.

With the current generation it is possible to live without a television. I have a television but I rarely watch it since everything that it's in the television I can find it using my smartphone or my computer. Also the television it's not convenient since you will to follow a certain program but with my smartphone I can watch anything I want at any given time.

In our present generation it is very difficult to live without a mobile phone. Our lives depend so much on it. From keeping up with the latest trends to staying connected to work .Personally i think it is impossible .

Growing up as a kid, I could count the number of times I watched the television. This is because daddy always wanted to listen to news all the time and of course I would want to watch cartoon which was almost impossible because I was left with either watching the news with daddy or read my books.

As an adult, I still see my self not watching television for like 3months and I guess it's so because of the advance in technology. With my phone or laptop connected to internet, I can get all the information i want.

Yet, thier are programmes that I prefer watching on television. I subscribe to those channels because it's cheaper and sometimes more fun for me if I watched on Television especially movies , musics.and some educational programmes.

Therefore, I could say that being able to stay without television has to do with personal differences. However, since I love to use the internet often, I can stay off Television for a while without evn noticing it.

In this age, pretty much, yes. Streaming services like Netflix and Hulu have taken the crown from television. I can watch all the shows I can (usually more) on television on one service or another, and that too according to my own convenience: let it be my PC, my laptop, or even my smartphone.

I no longer have to wait for the clock to hit a certain point to watch a show or a movie, or worry about whether I'll be free to watch at that point or not. Services like Netflix promote bingewatching, whenever we want.

Television has not become one of those "classic" technologies like FM radio. For me, it's one of those ways that "feel" better than the modern alternatives. Elders will always prefer it as it was the tech of their time. For the modern generations, I can not see why they won't prefer the streaming services over TV.

It must be possible since people survived without for many, many years before it was invented. Im today’s world, it’s a lot more difficult to live without it since tv is everywhere: many people talk about it and there’s many advertisements. I believe it is possible, just very hard. It would take a lot of willpower or a genuine disinterest to stay away from television.

To be honest, last time I watched news or any T.V show was 2011. On the other hand, my grandmother watches T.V every day. This makes her more easy to control just tell her "I saw on T.V...". Everything now is online, so what's the point of watching T.V. I only use it as a background while I am chatting on my phone:D

It is possible to live without watching the tv. There is alot going on outside your door than what we are routinely made to watch. For stance, you can get some life skills by interacting with real life people who have undergone challenging situations compared to actors who have stunt men and pretend they have survived in harsh places in the world. My honest opinion...the bigger the tv got the narrower our reasoning became.

Wow. Life without TVis hard to imagine. This is mainly because it is part of our lives. Many are employed just because of TV. Others rush from their work places just to watch their favourite programme. The updates we get from TV are also a reason as to why we are addicted to TVs. Its is very hard to change something that is already a part of us. So for me, I say No. I can not live without TV.

To be honest, I have never had a TV in my house. Since I was little, my parents have been against it, so I had to do without. But guess what? I had my computer and an internet connection, so I must say, I felt like a queen reigning over my personal kingdom and the internet provided me with all the information and fun I needed. Never have I felt the absence of a TV. It is possible, guys!

A TV is good in its sense, but I don't think I would make it without a computer and internet nowadays!

I do not watch TV either as now I have PC and cell phones but before these devices I use to watch a lot of TV and it was almost impossible for me to live without TV. But now as i can see many programs and movies on my laptop and smart phone I am not much fond of watching TV . So may be we can say these devices took place of TV now.
