Always have and always will. Animations are meant for a broader audience and not just kids. I still watch animation movies both classic ones and new ones. I prefer classic ones most times because I grew up watching them but most new ones are also amazing.

I still like certain animated movies. Newer ones in particular where the writers work in jokes that will go over the kids heads, but the parents get a good chuckle out of. I don't remember movies from my childhood having those hidden jokes in them, it was all for the kids. I really like Haio Miyazaki films too. They all seem to have the same premise, but they are entertaining nonetheless. The animation is so well done, and all of the old Japanese myths and legends that are included give you a little insight into the culture on top of being entertained by the story.

Television cartoons on the other hand, I almost always seem to prefer the shows from my childhood over the new stuff. I'm stuck watching lots of new cartoons geared toward small children. There is always one character in each program who has a terribly annoying voice.

On the whole, it is sometimes nice to escape the real world and feel like you've stepped into a storybook once in a while.
