Computers as phones

Phones are a smaller version of computers with most of them being able to do what computers do. Since the development of the first computer, there have been great advancements that have greatly improved computer functionality. But why can't they be used to make audio calls just like phones?

 

Computers can make audio calls and this ability has existed for over a decade. There are literally hundreds of options for using a computer for an audio call. I use Google's service frequently. It is extremely simple and easily accomplished. Cell phones have evolved into small computers. A cell phone now has more memory and storage space than my first computer in 1995. Cell phones have improved rapidly but we must remember computers have also improved. The possible uses for a phone are impressive, however, they are not equal to the capability of an actual computer. Tablets aren't either.

 

I like my laptop as well as my phone. Computers, even if they are really good, it's not possible to make calls with them, using a SIM card. Google hangouts, Skype and some other chat applications offer, audio facility, but in my opinion, it's not the same. As a programmer, I believe computers are used to build things and for running heavy processes.

As for the mobile phones, even if they are really good and got higher specifications (almost equal to that of computers), they are not comfortable to build applications or for doing work. Instead, they are good as communication devices. So, I don't want any one of them, to replace the other one. I would love to see computers making actual calls using a SIM card, but they are not comfortable enough to carry with us everywhere like mobile phones.

 

Computer are able to make and receive phone calls and this technology is available since many years, I think you need to make some more research about it, by the way I only like to make calls from cell phones. I am not comfortable with computers much. I more like to work with Cell phones than a desktop or laptop computers.

 

Because phone is more mobibility than phone and you can not bring a computer on your side just to listen call
