Of course anyone wants to buy a franchise. The question is, can you afford to buy one? My answer is no. I can't afford to buy a franchise because it's too expensive. I'm dreaming to have one but dreams will be just a dream. Buying big names franchise could cost you a lot of money. I'm thinking, is there any ways to have your own business without owning a franchise? Yes, by creating your own business. It's kind of risky because you will start from the scratch. But it's a big achievement if your own business will be successful someday.

Are you willing to take a risk creating your own business? Or are you going to buy a franchise to have a business?

Going the franchise way would be a better deal for me because of the advantages that come with it. A franchise will have worked out the pros and cons of the business, built a customer base, advertised etc and as a franchisee you join in with so much ready input.

The problem comes when it comes to the cost of acquiring one as you have just put it. Though if you have the dream and will, they'll always be a way. Every business is about taking risks; either the franchise way or with your own business. The benefit of starting your own business is that you can start with any amount of capital you have and go up as you grow. You can also become a franchise one day, the sky is the limit.

Personally I would prefer to start my business rather than buying a franchise for many reasons. Firstly I would have control over the products that I am supplying. I would like to sell a product that I genuinely believe is a great product and with starting my own business I can ensure the quality of the product I am selling is to my standards. This would be difficult with buying a franchise as you sell whatever products come with that franchise and you do not have a say in future products.

Buy a franchise is a good choice if you have the profile for this. This model of business is a system that already was tested and approved, that is, you will start in a business with a lower risk than if you were to open your own business.

Another good point is that you will have support from an experienced team. This team have the know how necessary to guide the business in the better way.

The public already know the franchise's brand, this will help you to get customers and make money faster than if you were to create a new brand unknown in the market.
