Is microtransaction in games the most horrible thing ever? From my point of view, microtransactions seem to affect those who are addicted to video games the most. But casual gamers like me can just simply brush it off.

But the gamers made it out to be the worst thing ever. I know microtransaction can be really predatory especially since companies intend to implement the "turning players into payers" system into their games.
But in the end, I don't think this system will ever go away even if there's numerous complaints about it.

While I am against predatory microtransaction, I still think microtransaction as an option have its place in free mobile games. The only way to truly combat it is to stop giving companies extra money for microtransactions on a paid game or better yet don't buy these games.

Microtransactions and loot boxes are tools like any other, they can be used or abused, so the problem is how and where they're implemented. Mobile games are a can of worms of their own, but the AAA industry is shooting its own foot by focusing on immediate gains at the cost of consumers. Just take a look at Shadow of War and how they completely ruined one of the game's core systems for the sake of some extra bucks. And I don't even have to mention Star Wars Battlefront II, do I?

Sure, don't give them money, but don't stop complaining either, or you run the risk of letting people become complacent and accept terrible practices as commonplace. That's exactly what these companies want, to divert attention from them to the folks who are getting (righteously) outraged by their actions. But if it weren't for people complaining, EA wouldn't have gotten so much trouble over their fiasco. We can't always win, but if we stop fighting, we'll certainly lose.

Personally, I think that microtransactions are only ok in some free games(developers have to make money, obviously)
However, when they are excessively used to point that the game is no fun to play I believe that microtransactions are not ok because it becomes obvious the game is just out to steal money from you, not to enjoy.

Micro transactions need to stop unless it’s purely cosmetic. At this point it’s just an excuse that you can’t make a good for people to enjoy. I shouldn’t have to pay another 60 dollars to unlock content I should already have.

I feel micro transactions feed on the people that are addicted to the game. They make tons of money from this method. I feel the game should not have micro transactions and DLC should be free like how Blizzard is doing with Overwatch. Anyways that is why I feel things in games shouldn't be locked away by a pay wall.
