Video games are great. Solving complicated puzzles, meeting new friends online but I would pick old games.

Video involves the mind sitting in the house idle and somehow intellectual level. Games exist with the aim of getting someone active. A bit of exercise, sweat, feeling tired and finally upholding health. Children of the 20th century had healthy bodies, encountered a lot of adventures and were beneficial to the society, unlike the 21st century. They would accompany their parents to go fishing and in the process "let's see who brings home more fish", that's how healthy their games were unlike the 21st century of "let's see who gets to level 20 first".

It depends on the scenario truthfully.
    ALONE:
If you are alone, obviously play video games. It's kind of weird to play hide and seek by yourself truthfully. However that's besides the point. Video games alone can give a certain kind of serenity that hard to explain. Playing adventure games like Mario can get the satisfaction of progress through checkpoints. Sandbox games like Far Cry or GTA can give the satisfaction of being able to do certain that you wouldn't be able to do in real life, like perhaps pulling up in a Lamborghini.

    WITH FRIENDS:
I say go the old way. Why play video games with you have another person with you face to face? Go outside or just talk to one another. If real life human interaction is available, just save the virtual stuff for when you're alone.

I'd definitely go for video games. The society we are in and the many technological advancements would not allow any teen or youth to choose "old times" games over video games.

They are graphically appealing with a thrilling gameplay. They are the best.

For me it depends on the weather. If its nice enough to go outside and play hide and seek or cops and robbers I would definitely go outside, but if its nice outside and I am alone I might go for a walk and play a game with my dog. If its stormy and rainy out and I am alone I would probably stay inside and play a video game but if it's stormy and rainy out and I'm with some friends we might play a good game of monopoly. So it really depends on the weather and who I am with.

Video games for me. Hide and seek was really fun when we were kids but after a while people grow up and just don't play some games anymore. Of course unless it's with your kids. To be honest I've not yet seen grown ups playing hide and seek.

I was born in 1998 and most of the games I played and prefer to play until now are traditional games. For me, video games are just too personal and make you too isolated and introvert. Actually, I don't hate video games but I've observed that some of the kids and teenagers of this generation, especially to those who were born from 2000 and onward, some of them are a little bit afraid of the environment and the society, and I guess that's because they were introduced to more video games and those games does not necessarily need companions.

For me, it's always best to grow up playing with other people so that when you grow up and be exposed with the society, it won't be very hard for you to communicate with people because you are already used to it. It can also increase your chances of having good relationships with others because you are used to befriending other kids. These are actually the things that I'm thankful for as a person who grew up playing 'old games'.

Old games were the best. Nothing bores one more than the time when you on the climax of your favorite game on you mobile phone then receiveing allerts like battery low. Hide and seek was the best the only way you could quite was upon the falling of darkness .
Video games have greatly eroded our cultures ,in old games you could find a young lady getting involved in activities which could shape her future (eg cooking using soil as a floor).Video games child when will they know home chores?

Video games are more often played in the cities with high technologies everywhere. Kids or even adults nowadays are used to using gadgets because it is already a modern generation which modern technologies and gadgets or devices are uprising. We can say now that we can only see few kids or people playing outdoor games like hide and seek, etc. I know how important for us to have a body exercise so outdoor games or recreation activities must be still practicing until now, but due to our modern technologies nowadays... people are contented to have fun playing games using their gadgets or any devices. For me, outdoor games are popular only in rural areas where modern technology devices and gadgets are unusual to be seen and to be used.
