I like cats a lot more than I do dogs. I'm honestly terrified of dogs and with good reason. I have been chased and humiliated by dogs in public more than I care to admit. Maybe dogs just don't like me, even puppies have chased me once or twice.

Dogs are cute and I think they are more friendly than cats.
I have a pet dog actually, he's a Jack Russell and a very cute and playful one. Sometimes he can be tough to handle - even for a small dog - because he is too energetic especially when I walk him outside, he always runs around wherever he wants. But, his cheerful behavior makes it more enjoyable and fun playing with him. I used to have cats before but I never enjoyed their company as much as I do now with my dog.

I have loved dogs since I was a kid. My first puppy's name was called Beagle. I loved it so much that my parents wondered how committed and passionate I was to take good care of Beagle. Within a few months, Beagle grew to become a strong fierce bull dog. He used to bully every cat he came across and that made me love dogs much more than cats.

Dogs are of much more importance than cats as they provide efficient security if well trained.

I am a cat lover, always have been and always will be.When I was a child my neighbors gave me the name " nyau"which is a cat when translated from my Kenyan tribal language.I was given the name since i would always cry for them to give me a kitten whenever I visited them, since they had many cats that for some funny reason were either pregnant or had given birth.

I agree with you. There are just things that i could not explain why I hate cats.

With dogs, I feel happy and relaxed plus they are cute whether they are puppy or old. Mostly because they are friendly and treat you as a friend.

As they say, Dog are man's best friend.

To add more from what i posted, dogs are easier to train. While cats not so much, they act like they are the master and not act like a friend:mad:. This should help us protest stop other countries from eating dogs!

Both are good, but I personally favor cats. They are a lot more independent, and they do things on their terms. To me this means when they show affection, it kind of means more.

Dogs are loyal, and a lot more easily trainable than cats. This is a good quality, but for me, the fact that cats are more difficult to train makes them a lot more genuine.

I also don't like dogs that lick too much or little yappy dogs that nip at your heels. As dogs go, I prefer the more laid back ones, or the ones that will romp and play with you, but don't slobber all over you because that's gross.

I agree with you @kimchiii . I have a dog of my own as well and I absolutley love it. They're always there for you and each dog has their own personality. I love how they are always loving and the bond that is built between the dog and the owner because of that love is inseperable.

Dogs and cats are very social animals.Ever since i was a kid, these two animals have been part of my life.I treat them as part of my family. But i prefer having a dog than a cat because dogs are more social and closer to man than cats.

Dogs knows when you are happy or not and will always try all the can to be closer to you.To me, i would urge everyone to treat either a dog or a cat with great love and care. They should be given food, proper medication and be taken out to have some fun.

I have had both cats and dogs. I love both. To me, they each have their own, unique personalities. Right now, I don't have the space for a dog, so I have cats. I have one isn't the smartest, one who is grumpy all the time, and one that is sweet and chatty. They all improve my day!

I prefer cats more than dogs.I don't have any strong particular reason but think I just like the calm environment created by a cat's presence, which is sometimes totally opposite when it comes to dogs.Cats are also highly independent animals and often don't require much of human effort to maintain. So for me I think am a cats guy.

    Cats

Dogs smell weird, and they constantly need attention, and they require constant attention and care.

Cats are clean, they can be incredibly affectionate but can also fuck off and do their own thing for a while, and you can leave them alone overnight with some extra food and they'll be fine.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I honestly feel nothing for dogs.

We used to have 3 dogs but the eldest dog died recently. I enjoy having dogs, they are loving and playful. It relieves stress to find your doggy excited to see you come home and smothers you with love, kisses, saliva, and scratches. They also protect and guard the house, which is a very big plus.

Having said that, I'm still more of a cat person. Dogs are too dirty, they leave fur everywhere and do their business everywhere and it is very tiresome to clean it up. Also, I find fluffy fat cats really cute, especially when they sleep with their tongues out and just being their lazy fat selves.

Cats are very easy to take care of and are nice companions to have in the house. So I'd say I prefer cats but then again I've had no experience having a dog as a pet.

I prefer dogs over cats just becasue of the simple fact that I could interact and play with a dog more. Cats are the type of pets that rather not be bothered and smuggled all the time. I think cats and dogs are equally beautiful and I genuinely love them both, just not equally the same.
About five years ago my mom got stratched by a cat and it was a vicious scar. She hated cats ever since, and I guess it kind of grew on me in a way to love dogs more, but hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Cats. They never make a loose. They always come to you for letting. They can survive on thier own for a few days. They also come in handy with mice. Any other benefits?

I like dogs but thinkI think that Ilike cat's more , I like everything about them, their paws, fur, eyes, and everything , they are so cute and adorable and precious. Cats are a natural mousetrap so you'd be sure that there is no pests around.I like the fact that cats are not smelly like dogs, and that I don't have to walk them, they clean themselves and take less space .Owning a cat is more affordable ,not to mention that they are quiter they also help getting rid of stress and anxiety , simply anti-depression cute creatures.

Five dogs?? It's my dream to have a lot of dogs. <3 I have two dogs and a cat. I love them. All three of them. And I really can't say that I love dogs more, and not feel bad about my cat. So I will just say I LOVE BOTH CATS AND DOGS. And nobody asked, but I love elephants too.

Hurray! I'm not the only one here. I prefer cats.

I was a dog person when I was little, then I changed into a cat person. Indeed I prefer the independence of cats rather than the fidelity of dogs. Dogs are like children: cute when they are not mine. When you have a dog you will have a close friend but also a baby to constantly take care of. Cats are more a wild type, like me. They are loyal but they aren't over-dependent. And if you are not there all the time, it's OK: they will manage.

I like dogs more than I like cats. Dogs can listen to orders, bring us things, protect us from harm, know when something is wrong with someone's health, recover survivors in fires, earthquakes etc. and so much more. They are very in tune with nature and their surroundings. Very independent and don't require a lot of care. Cats on the other hand are total divas who need to be waited on hand and foot. They don't protect you, they don't help out much around the house. Unless you have a mouse problem at home, what's the point of having a cat? For those reasons dogs are better than cats.
