    Do you think the countries leading in corruption cases will ever stop corruption in their countries and if yes what are the different methods they could use to stop corruption.

    I don't think corruption in many counties can stop . This is because , in these countries corruption starts with the leadership to common man in these counties

    Humans are imperfect beasts, we all make mistakes but a mistake is not a corrupt act and I think we need to draw a line between a genuine mistake that was meant in the best interest of those involved and a selfish act that hurts others.
    To curb corruption we need to bring on economists as well as political scientists and hopefully all these different approaches at different times in different ways can help make sort of real impact generating research.
    If all these professionals work hand in hand with the International Anti-Corruption Unit to try and help them coordinate their activities, I'm sure they will find ways of ensuring money laundering and people using corrupt proceeds is a little bit difficult than it is right now.

    I think corruption is hard to stop especially now that it is already widespread. Maybe some were just forced to do this because their salaries are not enough for them. But even though it is for their own good, it is still not right because they are stealing the money intended for the people. For me, it is really unfair for those taxpayers who pay their taxes correctly but their payments will only go to those heartless corrupt persons. It so hard to stop because sometimes people are not aware that they exist in a country.

    I agree with you @lenmanalang. Corruption is becoming almost impossible to be dealt with due to the thirst of money some human beings posses. Its like a viral disease that will never end unless people decide to terminate it at individual levels by electing leaders who are not driven by money, but driven by the love to create a better society.

    Corruption!
    This is a perennial curse which has no likelihood of being eradicated. It seems as if those who do not participate in the vice are actually the ones who are on the wrong side of life. Those left aside continue to cry that even if they did not participate, at least their kin should have since the mechanisms that should curb the menace and punish the wrong doers do nothing. To them when a major scandal happens, they should have been the ones doing it.

    In most cases (or all cases) those who steal public money are those charges with mandate to safeguard it. They befriend the courts or should they not, they buy their freedom. Those who don't have no means of coming near the said treasures as even the recruitments into the big offices follow a certain line which flow through the power avenues.

    Corruption has been a major disease among many countries. The virtue of honest has been put away and people are doing everything possible to get what they want. I think corruption at this point cannot be stopped since even the young ones minds have already been corrupted. For example a father is driving along with his son and unfortunately they get stopped due to over speeding so this man decides to bribe the policeman instead of facing the charges. His son when he grows up he will do the same since parents lead by example, then this chain will continue.

    All we can do for now is try to minimize the corruption cases. Also fight against corruption.

    Corruption can be considered as a deadly sin in our society and it is a shame that we are being evasive and denying this fact by considering it as a habit and a part of our lives especially in the most corrupt nations, where it has been embraced as a way of life. I believe that corruption can end but it is upon each and every citizen of a corrupt country to take full responsibility in order to make sure that, the evil root of corruption in our society is totally uprooted. Some of the ways that corruption should be dealt with include;

    1. Effective law enforcement agencies
    This is essential to ensure the corrupt are met by the full force of the law and are punished accordingly. Successful enforcement approaches are supported by a strong legal framework, law enforcement agencies and an effective court system.

    2. Strengthening the role of auditing agency .
    By doing this we ensure that there is transparency and disclosure on the budget information and all government expenditures which discourages misuses of public funds and resources.

    3.Empowering citizens.
    By empowering them to hold government accountable is an effective approach that helps to build mutual trust between citizens and the government. By creating community initiatives that the common citizen can participate in , it helps detect corruption at the grass root and avoid looting of public funds.
