I think this way too, Python is a language very easy to learn, and the best is, you learn and you can use it for a lot of projects. My first language on college was Python. Unfortunately, I didn't start to learn to programme soon.

Python is the best language that I know for beginners and for advanced coders too. I stopped to programming with Python because I needed to learn C. As a consequence, today I can't remember too much about the language, but I will learn it again.

Now, on my college, the language the professors uses to teach is Pascal. Ok, it's an easy language to learn how to programming, but, it is the only purpose of this language. You will not develop a software with Pascal (or at least you should not).

And so I'm presently learning python. It requires everyday practice to remember everything.
