As a kid I remember waking up everyday and tuning in to Cartoon Network just to catch up on Dexter and Johnny Bravo. I owned this Johnny Bravo hoodie that had 'Woah Mama' written in the front and I wore that thing everywhere (even to sleep). What are the most memorable cartoons from your childhood?

My favourite cartoon of all times is definitely Tom&Jerry. I remember when I was like 5yrs old, it was Christmas day and Cartoon Network had an all day Tom&Jerry marathon. I barely got out of bed that day to use the bathroom. It was one of the happiest days of my childhood, I still remember it with a smile on my face. I still watch cartoons when I get the time, if I search Tv channels and I come across a Tom&Jerry episode I don't miss it.

I have a lot of favorite childhood cartoons, some of these are Tom and Jerry, Mr. Bean, Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer and so much more. I remember that I use to wake up very early in the morning before just to watch these cartoons. I enjoyed them a lot as a child and I still enjoy them even today.

Loony Toon! This show was the first step away from the Noggen programming and I loved it. They were loud, they were fun, I had a serious little girl crush on Bugs because he was just so cool about everything. To this day I still love to look up episodes and just sit and watch. Also Bugs in drag is always fearce.

My favorite childhood cartoon has to be Beany and Cecil. I am very surprised that I run into very few people that even heard of it and it just blows my mind. Young kids probably would not grasp some of the puns related to the 60s era in the Beany and Cecil cartoon. I remember me and my brothers would lay on the floor watch the cartoon and laugh so hard which used to piss off my mother so bad that she would kick us out of the house to go play outside.

My favorite childhood cartoon was Hey Arnold! Every afternoon I couldn't wait to catch the next episode. I loved the diverse characters and the adventurous task they had to complete. Hey Arnold reminds me of my childhood with friends and how we use to play outside making secret clubhouses together. It always amazed me how Helga treated Arnold so badly and secretly had a crush on him. I was never close with my grandparents as a child but, it gave me some insight on how loving and caring grandparents should be.

I concur with you Tru Aveli. I, like you, also used to wake up in the morning or run from school to home everyday in the evening and turn on Cartoon Network as the first thing. When someone says 'childhood cartoons' the first thing that hits my mind is Cartoon Network. The high caliber of Cartoon Network cartoons makes me want to be indifferent of them. However I will have to go with Dexter's Laboratory too.

In this cartoon there is an ingenious character called Dexter who uses his formidable mind to create inventions many of which are robots, to help save the day. Then there is Dee Dee, Dexter's sister who is always on his nerve. It was always fun to watch Dexter's life being interrupted by Dee Dee. I loved Dexter's Laboratory.

I like watching spongebob squarepants. Im 21 and i still watch it now. What i like about it is that it moves me away from the stress of the real world. It brings only positivity to me. I will never stop watching it even if i grow older and older.

My favorite cartoon as a child was Fraggle Rock. Not only were the Fraggles funny and cute throughout every episode of their 5 seasons, but the with the creative mind of Jim Henson brought to the screen everything there is to love about puppet characters, including silliness and plenty of music.

Most of the action takes place below the home of befuddled inventor Doc and his faithful canine companion, Sprocket. A series of caves underground is home to both the Fraggles and the Doozers. The Doozers spend all their time constructing scaffolding throughout the tunnels. These Doozer sticks are created from radishes and are a favored food of the Fraggles. For the amount of time that is spent building Doozer structures, the Fraggles spend an equal amount of time eating the new construction. I always admired the Doozers because they never let anything get them down. When their buildings were eaten they simply began to erect new ones.

There are two exits from the tunnels - one which leads into Doc's home and drives Sprocket crazy, and another that leads into the radish garden of the Land of the Gorgs. The Fraggles usually have at least one narrow escape from the irresistible Gorg garden in every episode, along with solving their own personal problems.

Each Fraggle has their own personality. Red was always my favorite because she was always up for anything and didn't scare easily. Mokey was the resident artist, Gobo relied on his practicality, Boober who was very superstitious and looked for signs everywhere and in everything. Finally, there was Wembley who was incapable of making a decision and sticking to it. All five of these contrasting personalities meshed together when needed so that the Fraggles could protect the integrity of the Fraggle and Doozer way of life.

Cartoons are something that made my childhood worth it. By watching cartoons help me relax and forget all my problems.

My favourite cartoon as a child was Richie Rich. The show revolved around Richie Rich, his friends, his family and his dog Dollar. Richie Rich, the world's famous kid, gets involved in various adventures and mysteries. He had the ultra modern gadgets that did the coolest things. The way he used this ultra modern gadgets to get out of trouble steals the show.

This was definitely a fond part of my childhood, along the other shows mentioned on this thread like Tom & Jerry, or Looney Tunes. The absolute first show I thought of however, was definitely the Care Bears and the Care Bear Cousins. I can remember being so little and that being the absolute first cartoon I fell in love with. Shows like My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, or the Care Bears are now iconic symbols for my generation. I couldn't name one of my friends that didn't have the toys or stuffed animals. Yet, not a single one of us will admit that they were more than just toys, we really loved those cartoons and watched them all the time.

This is so true. The best thing about Tom and Jerry is that no matter how many times you watch it, it just won't get old. The humor is still appealing as if you are watching for the first time. Such a timeless classic!

My favorite childhood cartoon was Alvin and the Chipmunks! I use to love going to make my bowl of Tony the Tiger frosted corn flakes and awaiting to see what Alvin was going to do to get in trouble. The female chipmunks was the cutest things ever and they matched the perfect female chipmunk up with each male chipmunk to match their height, personality and body weight. I love the movie series that they are doing now to in different versions that are non-animated.

My favourite childhood cartoon was Tom and Jerry, all the episodes were exciting with both characters especially Jerry trying not be be Tom's beverage in every scene. They were both cheeky and funny which kept me entertained all through.

Tom and Jerry was funny and I loved the pranks Jerry used on Tom, it is a legendary cartoon and my son love's watching it on this day from an old disc I have n keeps him entertained too.

For me I vow for Tom and Jerry as my favourite childhood cartoon.

Definitely Tom & Jerry! There is no blood, scary scene and it's not like anyone cartoon today. Ok maybe somebody said - often violet. But, at least funny violet. I am glad I grew up in that period of the 80's!
