Yes. Music can relieve stress. Going back to the conception time, before our birth, we are exposed to music at a very young age, and I think it's one of the psychological reason why we always go back to music when we are depressed, when we are sad, lonely, or angry, or just feeling all the emotion all at once because when we are young it is one of the ways our mother calm us down in their wombs and as we grow up we kind of adapt those mentality.

According to one of the studies that Psychologist conducted that if we are stressed, having panic attacks, or having an insomnia, all we have to do is listen to some music because there is a hormone that was secreted by our brain that helps us to calm down and help us relax and that is why music is a great stress reliever to us. Just don't listen to songs that are depressing too when you re depressed because it might make you snap and just have a breakdown there. Yes, Music is a great stress reliever but it can also bring us a great deal of sorrow so just be reminded that be mindful of the songs that you will listen. Have some happy tunes when you are depress for example and it will help you tremendously. :)

Yes, Music Helps Reduce Stress. The soothing power of musicis well-established. It has a unique link to our emotions, so can be an extremely effective stressmanagement tool. Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect on our minds and bodies, especially slow, quiet classical music.

As music can absorb our attention, it acts as a distraction at the same time it helps to explore emotions. This means it can be a great aid to meditation, helping to prevent the mind wandering.

When I get stressed, I think of a good ol' gospel song, or better yet, an old spiritual. Singing a few bars, or songs, depending on my state of mind, can make me feel much better and even put a smile on my face. It brings me back, remembering what's most important - - life.

I also love Jazz and there are certain songs or artists that have the ability to lift me up too.

Music will always be a stress reliever since especially when working most people just turn up the volume of the song in order to work faster. After a stressful day I love to just sit and listen to music in order to relax.

Also when students are revising for their exams, after reading for a long period they listen to music for better concentration. So yes music does help one relax.

As we listen to music it soothes us and let's us only concentrate on the beat of the song. Most songs are written in regard of a certain situation and how the person was able to emerge victorious. Hence after listening to the music it acts like an encouragement that chases away the stress.

Music that you love often distracts a person and puts them in a good mood that helps one forget their stressful situation and just enjoy the music for the moment.

Also the different genres of music help people cope with different amounts of stress. The heavy metal kind helps you totally forget your stress and the soft genres helps soothe your soul and encourage you with their lyrics.

Music is really medicine to our hearts.

More than you can ever imagine. Sometimes I feel like the kind of music I listen to affects my mood. And who else has noticed that the first song you hear in the morning will keep playing over and over again in your head. So I try as much as possible to listen to music that will empower me.
    "Like a small boat
    On the ocean
    Sending big waves
    Into motion
    Like how a single word
    Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion"

Yes, and for me it is still one of the best ways to relieve our stress. We all experience the power of music in our lives and it is really a big help for us. Whenever I listen to music I always feel relaxed and motivated. Listening to music while doing something helps me to be more focused and concentrated on my work. It's amazing how music could take us to a different world just by listening to it. It seems like music has its own world and whenever we listen to it, it takes us to its own world. Maybe that's the reason why when we deeply listen to the music we feel relaxed and our stress relieves, it is because music takes us into its world having us to leave our world momentarily and healed our hearts and mind in explainable way.

Music indeed helps to relax the mind hence minimizing stress. It is also vital to note that not all music does this. There are different genres of music and of particular emphasis mostly can be traced from religious content with specific messages to the listeners.Slow paced music and mostly blues and Christian genres are great antidotes to stress relief.

How to use music to relieve stress
Music is popular because it has the ability to aid people in a quest to feel good. It can help make you feel happy, sexy, relaxed, or if you listen to the wrong kind at the wrong time, angry. One of the best reasons to listen to music though, is because it can relieve stress. Whether you are over worked and in need of relaxation, or suffering from a relationship breakup or grief, listening to music can leave you feeling calm and stress free, providing you with welcome relief.

One way music achieves such a calming response is by helping to slow down a listeners palpitating heart. When you feel stressed, one of the physical reactions you will probably experience will be a racing heartbeat, otherwise known as palpitations. Other symptoms may follow, such as rapid breathing and emotional anxiety. Music can also leave you breathing more deeply, and making your breaths longer, and slower. The physical reactions which music alters will also help to alter your emotions and ultimately reduce stress.

The best music to listen to which will help you relax is that

Well, it kinda depends on the person, on how he or she handles stress. But for me, music can take away my stress. Whenever I'm stressed or sad I listen to my favorite bands like Backstreet Boys, My Chemical Romance, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Nirvana and I sing along and suddenly I feel good and I forgot that I am stressed. But other people listen to certain sounds like rain sounds, beach waves sounds and wind sounds and it is said that it's a stress reliever for them. It even has a app, search on Google Play or on your App Store. So therefore it depends on the person how they relieve stress. Everyone has their own way, but mine is listening to music.

Of course, music helps you to relieve stress. Listening to specific music releases hormones that make you feel relaxed. Granted Mozart and Beethoven may make a lot of people drowsy but they do tend to relax the mind. Ballads also help you relax with the rhythm and the melodic beats.

Music can sometimes reduce stress and in some cases worsen the situation depending on the message the music brings forth. Some of the music can bring you bad memories whereas some are so soothing that you find yourself stress relieved.

Totally! I find that, for me, listening to old jazz is very relaxing. Stuff like Glenn Miller, or Benny Goodman. It's really easy to get lost in the sounds of the instruments. It's good for all kinds of stress too! If I'm feeling worn down, the jazz has a good beat that picks me up, but when I feel overwhelmed I like how soft the music is when compared to what I normally listen too.

Yes, Music can relieve stress in many situations in life. It can be about relationships or heart breaks which most lyrics are matched up to what may be happening to your relationship at the moment and it makes you not feel alone on such hard times.

Also under normal stress like anger, bad or hard days, bad moods and low ego can be hard to deal with if your mind is concentrated and can not think of any other thing, Music can change your moods and energy to be positive and happy. I listen to music under stress and it really helps to ease n change my negative energy in to good energy.

Music is good therapy to stress and food for the soul.
