I think the best way to appreciate the benefits of sleep is to experience a few sleepless nights. It will certainly answer your question.

Lack more sleep and observe how you increase your eating habits. Our body compensates in many ways.Just like a computer becomes overloaded. .our bodies behaves the same when we lack enough sleep.8hours a night makes you more energetic for a new day.

Sleep is definitely a very important part of our daily routine which can never be ignored. Getting sound sleep at night at least for eight hours every day is very essential for having a very healthy life. Sleeping early at night and getting up early in the morning is considered to be a very healthy habit. Once you get used to this healthy routine then you will be able to drive away all the diseases from your life.

However when you are not able to sleep regularly at night over a long period of time, then you are very likely to encounter various health problems to your body and mind. People who are not able to sleep at night have a tendency to overeat and gain weight. Excess weight leads to further complications like obesity and other major diseases like diabetes.

One must take efforts to have a healthy routine of exercising regularly and catching sleep of at least eight hours every night and lead a positive life.

Getting good sleep has a range of long-term benefits that can contribute to a healthier life. These benefits include sharper brain functioning, balanced weight and a clear complexion.

Getting enough quality sleep is critical to keeping our brains functioning well. Study shows that, lack of sleep can result in slower cognition, memory problems and deficulty in concentration.

A good night sleep is also important for helping your body function at its best. Healthy sleep can help your body better regulate blood sugar levels, keep your immune system functioning properly and improve heart health by decreasing stress.

When asleep, skin is repaired and replenished as the growth hormone is released during this time.

Sleep might be the most important activity that you do everyday. It is very essential for recuperating, refreshing and reenergising every single part of your body. It relaxes the mind and body. It also helps maintain mental health.

It can be beneficial in different ways for different people. For example for children it helps in the growth process, for people who workout it helps their muscles relax and recover, for people who are sick it makes sure that most of the body's energy is used for the healing process instead of other activities. That's why children, athletes and sick people are usually advised to get some rest/sleep.

This is so true. I've been having 2-4 hours of sleep this past few days and I really observed a lot with my body.

I noticed that my energy level became low and always feel sleepy. My head is also foggy and can't seem to work properly. I can't keep up with my normal daily routine because of it.

This just proves that having enough of sleep is a must specially when your working and studying.
