Personally I believe you go to college to learn so work under somebody else.If that’s what you want in life then college is the way to go.If you want to be your own boss one day I think instead of putting yourself in debt and spending time at colleg.Spend time on yourself ,what do you want out of life, what skills do you bring to the table, how can you better manage your business, etc.

    Hi William,
It is true that we spend a lot of time and resources so as to attend and complete our college studies. College is beneficial in a number of ways. Firstly, I like the interactions and making friends with different people and college provides a good ground for the same. Secondly, the various disciplines learnt also expands a person's thinking hence enabling him/her to reason out over a variety of issues. Additionally and more importantly, the college certificate gives one a reasonable security for maintaining good living standard. For example, a business person who has not gone to college may find it difficult to rise again when the business fails but a business person with a college certificate may secure a job and get capital for continuing with the business and maintain good living standard. College is therefore necessary to succeed.

Not necessaryly...but college is our stepping stone to be successful...there are a lot of countries where they are really serious in finishing college because it will become their asset...but of course there are so many people or individual who are successful even they didnt took college...because of their talent, experience and natural knowlegde...

In my opinion, it depends upon the person’s viewpoint. It also depends upon the person’s choice of career. Like for instance, if you want to pursue Chemical Engineering it would really require you to go to college because that’s where you can learn the knowledge and skills. However, there are some career track that doesn’t require college degree to acquire the knowledge, experience is sometimes the tool, like Culinary and Teaching. I know certain people who didn’t even went to college but succeeded in their career.

There are two ways you can benefit from getting a degree. First, college is a safe validation for you to get a job. Employers would rely on your educational attainment to identify if you’re competent enough for the job. You may think that college is not important; somehow it can help you to have a safe disposition in employment world. Second, People go to college to have the knowledge and learn the skills they need for the career they want to pursue. College has a complete and effective curriculum to prepare you for your career track.

Coming from a graduate of a four-year degree, B.S. Business Administration to be specific, college isn’t a bad idea at all. It’s not a waste of time. You may also consider college as your training ground. Personally, I have already built my micro business and acquired several job in the past using my college degree. I would recommend everyone to go to college. It’s just a little bit tougher than high school but the four-year study can be fun too and it’s worth investing.

I personally recommend going to college if you know the path that you want to take in life will be competitive with others or require a degree. Not to sound like a pessimist, but it's very rare to be one of the few success stories you hear of self-made individuals who either didn't go to or dropped out of college. Unfortunately, if you want to be a step above the competition in life, you need to invest in your own education.

I have gone to College, but I'm also a life long learner. Whether you learn through open source, blogs, vlogs, weminars, courses, or attend a college, you can find educational opportunities every where. Dan Lok is a perfect example of someone who states, he never got a degree. I believe if you listen to a lot of famous and celebrity stories, you can find many who had degrees or didn't have degrees, but it was more about drive, determination, and success. Not allowing anything to get in your way.

Going to college may be important though not necessary for one to succeed.I believe that there is something beyond going to college that is needed. However,a person who has passed through college maybe at a better position to deal with life issues than someone else who has not. This is because college gives one exposure and knowledge that leaves them at a better position in handling different situations, socially, spiritually and in their work areas.

It depends on what you want to do with your life. There are plenty of people working minimum wage jobs while take college classes online or in the evening so they can have a degree and have a better life. It could be helpful or not needed at all. We all follow different paths with our lives whether it's working towards a doctorate or not finishing high school.
