Eczema is an inflamed skin condition characterized by itching and burning sensation. It is not contagious (unless infected) and includes a group of conditions, the most common being atomic dermatitis, also known as atopic eczema.

There is no known cause for eczema. However, it can be triggered by factors like excessive sweating, abrupt changes in temperature and humidity, skin contact with coarse materials, use of harsh soaps and detergents, stress, upper respiratory infections, and so on. Bouts of eczema usually come and go. Apple cider vinegar has long been used to soothe skin inflammation and burns, and it is also a disinfectant. You can use cotton balls to apply the vinegar directly to scaly areas, or apply to larger areas with a clean paper towel dipped in 1 part vinegar to 1 part water. Apply it on the affected area and rinse off after 5 minutes.

Another popular home cure for eczema Maria is aloe vera. The anti-inflammatoryand antimicrobial properties in aloe vera can reduce the irritation caused by eczema and gradually lighten the dark scars.
Apply aloe vera gel directly to the affected areas. Do this a few times daily until you are satisfied with the results. Alternatively, you can combine equal parts of pure aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil to form a thin paste and apply it to the affected skin overnight then wash it off in the morning with warm water. Repeat this process daily.

Washing the face definitely helps. However, wash face very gently as scrubbing leads to irritation. Then avoid pinching or touching your face all the time as your hands may have bacteria hence spreading infection.
A dar of lemon juice can help. Leave the lemon juice on the skin for about 15 minutes then gently rinse off with warm water. This helps to kill bacteria

The conventional way to treat eczema is with lotions rich in cortisone, steroids and topical creams but there are natural home remedies that you can use instead to get rid of eczema and avoid any side effects from prescription treatments.
To get rid of or prevent the dry scaly patches of eczema rash from spreading to other parts of the body you can try taking two to three tablespoons of pure extra virgin olive oil everyday and I promise you great results in a few days.

Limit the contact that you have with water each day. While water can help hydrate your skin, if your skin remains wet for too long or the water is too hot, your skin can become dehydrated and chapped. Instead, bathe once a day in lukewarm water and bathe from 5 to 10 minutes only, the National Eczema Association recommends.

Apply moisturizers and ointments while your skin is still damp after enduring contact with water. Make sure that you apply ointments within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower or tub, when your skin is most likely to absorb the moisture to help heal your eczema. Keep applying moisturizer whenever your skin feels dry or chapped throughout the day, Medline Plus recommends. Slip a tube in your bag so you have some with you at all times.

    God bless.
