Choosing from having a freelance life between having a regular job could be a really tough decision to make. Both of them has many pros and cons that you should consider first. I've been to a lot of regular jobs before and I can say that I enjoyed it at first. But in the long run, it just wasn't worth it. I was stuck with being a regular employee, doing the same thing over and over again.

Freelancing, on the other hand, allows you to explore and vastly develop your skills. I just started freelancing and I know that it will never be easy. But with a strong will, determination and hard work, someday I can be my own boss, able to manage my own time and I'll get to do what I loved most. This is my goal, so what's yours?

Regular job is more stable as the work is guaranteed. In freelance, we work on contracts so it can happen that you might not get work for a long time but in regular job, salaries are guaranteed.

I prefer to freelance because it allows me the freedom to manage my own schedule. Unfortunately, I suffer from a myriad of mental illnesses that include crippling social anxiety. While it is nice to not feel constrained by a set schedule, I still take into account the cons that come with freelancing. Having a steady W-2 paycheck means my taxes are automatically deducted, and that makes tax season less of a headache. Freelancing means we need to do our own taxes, which causes a bit of anxiety itself. I also have to take into account that anxiety can also stem from negative reviews of my writing, which could last for days. I don't believe there is any money-making option where I can avoid feeling anxious, but freelancing definitely is the lesser of two evils.

Online freelance life enables you to fully manage your time efficiently. You can avoid the stress from long travel and heavy traffic going to the office. In freelancing, you have the chance to gain multiple clients that you can work for.

Well, of course, the regular job is my answer, because from the word itself regular, it's your daily work, and you can't change it. You can earn a lot of money on your regular job rather than being an online freelancer. But I am not here to disregard online freelancer, because I am an online freelancer too and being an online freelancer can let you earn a lot of money while you are working on your regular job. Because you have more options on getting paid. And for me, this two things can't debate, because you can do it both, well it depends on how do you manage your time because you can work as a freelancer online when you are not on working on your regular job. from that, you can earn an extra income.

I agree, that each of these two options has its advantages and its disadvantages.

If I were younger, I was single and did not have the number of children I have, I would probably opt for Freelance work and try to build a good foundation for my future and my family's, but considering the level of commitment that I now have and that I have not yet managed to build a sufficient economic base, I think it is good to have a secure monthly income and at the same time continue to develop some freelance activities but as a secondary option, until it produces significantly more than a regular job, in the present and for the future.

Of the two, I think I'll go with a regular job. This is because of its stable nature. With regular job, you are assured of a certain amount of income be it daily, weekly or monthly. However ,with online freelancing, it's more of a gamble especially during the early stages. But with hardwork, determination, patience and persistence, its very possible to make it in the freelancing sector.

Another thing that can't go without mentioning is the fact that you can actually do both depending on how efficiently you can manage your time. Let say for instance, you go to your regular job during the day and then spare a few hours in the evening to do online freelancing this however will depend on your schedule. Online freelancing can be a really nice side hustle.

    Freelancing over regular job?

I've been an employee for four years now, and it may seem that I am stuck to the usual routinary work cycle. While freelancing offers vast and wide-ranging opportunities as long as you are willing and dedicated to earn a side income I would still go for regular job. Why choose if you can do both at the same time?

My regular job pays well and it's a stable income earner. I got to have health insurance and benefits which I won't have with freelancing. Nevertheless, freelancing is an opportunity to earn income on the side. This allows me to used my time profitable for me rather than waste internet connection over chats on Facebook and messenger that doesn't pay. Freelancing also gives me the chance to used my skills to earn buck at home without the hassle of everyday traffic and paperwork.

It's good to be a freelancer, but it's much better to have a regular job my freelancing job is only a part-time job in my part today I worked as a freelancer because I can't see a regular job that will fit to my criteria as an employee, being a freelancer is your choice and it's up to you if you think that freelancing is a good source of income and it fits to your criteria.

If possible and time permits, I prefer to have both. The reason for this is to earn more money for me and my family. I can utilize my salary on the regular job to pay our bills, and use my salary on the freelance work for savings and leisure. Freelance work will also cover the things that regular jobs limit on personal growth. For example, if I'm working as a programmer in a regular job, my programming tasks are already limited to the software or resources that are being used by the company. A freelance work related to this scenario can be teaching programming, technical writing etc.

However, if I can only choose one, then I will definitely choose a regular job over a freelance work. I value stability and security especially now that I have my own family. In addition to that, most regular jobs have benefits such as paid vacation or sick leaves, bonuses, health cards, insurance and retention or retirement benefits.

There is good and bad to both, but for not I prefer freelance. I worked a corporate job, moved up the ranks and was salaried in management. As an independent contractor there are many options and things that you can do and the freedom is amazing. I am using the time the freelancing allows for personal growth and development. In the long-run I believe the long-term reward is better than the temporary comfort of a "regular job". I understand both sides, but my life is happier not being someone else's employee.

In a labor market where staff shortage increases from one month to the next, more and more professionals decide to give up a safe job and become collaborators in independent projects, preferring alternative sources of earnings, but also the freedom to be part of various projects.
More and more young people choose to work on collaboration contracts, and some of them do this not in coworking spaces, but at home or in cafes.

It's curious that although many people are looking for work, we just say: "Do you know a webdesigner / photographer / copywriter / PR / installer / architect / programmer / accountant (what do you want) which is the best?"
People are looking for recomandations for good people.
If you are such a man, means that you know your profession well and you do good work, you meet the deadlines, you know how to communicate clearly (what you want, what does not work, what problems appear to improve), you know the market and ask for correct amounts for your job, then it is super simple to find work.

I would agree that this is generally true. However, in these difficult times, you never know when you may get laid off. To that end no one can predict the future of any company. Businesses close all of the time for different reasons. There is also always a chance of getting fired.

I guess there are pros and cons to each. Freelance work is much more flexible time wise. I have been deemed as disabled by my doctors who say I can't work but my medical problems aren't widely accepted by Disability so I can get no financial relief going that route. Freelance work is a good compromise for me.

Both regular and freelancing jobs have their pros and cons. Regular jobs are good because they give a sense of stability and predictability. In a regular job, you know what to expect tomorrow unlike in freelancing where things can go south any time. However, regular jobs can be limiting in terms of income and personal time unlike freelancing where you can work from the beach wrapped in a beach towel and earn as much as you wish.

Online freelancing is best for me as you can work as a freelancer from your home without going to your office early in the morning.
We have flexible schedules in freelancing and we get paid for our work through online payment processors.
Everyone who has some skills about a particular niche can join freelancing and here no cv/resume is required.

For me is freelancing the only way. Planning your own schedules, work from home, work where and when you want. What do I have to tell you more about the bennefits. Being your own bos and get paid is the most liberal thing there is. If you can live from it and have the freedom. Then is that the thing I want. The rest for me is to much restrictions.

I am well aware of the higher stability of a regular job compared to freelancing, however, I, myself, am unable to work a regular job. To name just a few, I have PTSD, depression, anxiety (social and general), and moderate OCD/germaphobia. Therefore, I know that I cannot handle all that a regular job entails. I do not believe I have, or will ever have, any option other than freelancing.

I would prefer an online freelance lifestyle because it would enable me to have more freedom to do what I love, such as travelling, learning new languages, creating artwork and simply having fun times with people.
Freelance work would also allow me to work from home or some other part of the World instead of being stuck in an office or warehouse on a strict schedule.
There is less pressure on losing a job as a freelance worker and it would make me less anxious, however the income from freelancing is somewhat volatile because there could be times when less work is available but I would adjust to it.

I am excited about freelancing. I know it will be hard work. I believe that if I can cover my bills and have extra change it will be good enough for me to make it my fulltime job. I have met about six persons who do freelancing for a living. All who make as much as my previous full-time job or more than I did. While being a freelancer means you don't get sick days, paid vacation, health benefits or a steady paycheck. Freelancing allows you to work on your schedule in most cases. Freelancing will allow you to do what you like as a job and it is your choice how much hours to work.
