Facebook was impressive at first. It was new and connecting with old friends, looking at the pictures of their parties and travels seemed interesting. very soon however, it became unmanageable for me. Who wants to look at daily pics of a baby of a ex-co worker with whom you barely made conversations about weather? And then there are the political discussions in which you get tagged, Candy Crush invitations from your Uncle who just for a smartphone, etc. Logging onto Facebook just to erase the number of notifications has become a chore.

I like Facebook because it's easy to see what's going on with my family in other states/countries and it also makes it easy to get customer support from some companies. I agree with you on the Candy Crush invitations and the notifications though; I end up just ignoring all of them sometimes.

I like Facebook because its easier to keep up with and find old friends. I don't like getting hit up with game requests either. You will also be surprised who put all their businesses on their status

Facebook is open to all and it is us who make it what it is. My list of friends and likes reflects what I'm going to see on Facebook. I'm pretty sure the more I like some things the more they will crop up.

Facebook used to be really good and really cool! It was the best social media website. Now it's different. It's still pretty good if you want to share ideas, thoughts or just talk to your friends. But people tend to ruin amazing things. Now, all I see is pictures of cats and I don't even understand why people post them. It might be just me, but I feel like people tend to speak without having anything to say.

I absolutely LOVE Facebook ! It is my connection with friends and family that I do not live close to, and I look forward to checking on their page every day to see what new things have been posted.
Two of my children are amateur photographers, and both of them love the outdoors; so they often post beautiful pictures of the lakes or woodland trails that they have been exploring on that day. My other son is more like I am; he just takes pictures when he wants to show us a picture of something (like how well his tomatoes are growing). In any case, I enjoy reading their posts and looking at the pictures.
One thing that I utilize a lot in Facebook is the "unfollow"option. That way, when someone plays games, or just likes to "share" all kinds of stuff that I do not want to bother with; it is not going to show up on my Facebook page over and over.
When I want to see what these people have been up to, I just visit their page, and scroll through, reading what interests me, and omitting the posts about their wonderful game scores.

I like Facebook because it's the only social network I use to connect with friends and family. When I created my facebook account again, my family from my father's side found me and everyone sent me friend requests. Later on, I found my half sisters, and I have not spoke to them for about 4 years, maybe more. Facebook is great to comminute with people around the world because I have friends that live in different states. My opinion on facebook has changed over the years because people would now post inappropriate facebook statuses, videos of people fighting, and pictures that should not be in the internet. It creates way too much drama and it hurts people around them to see that.

Facebook is good place to connect and get information just because Facebook is the first and biggest social network, but nowadays
I was just on Facebook to say hello to my close friends only.

Honestly, I'm not interested in the personal lives of my high school pals. :D I don't want to know a lot of their drama, or the fact they brushed their teeth this morning. I think a lot of people on Facebook are whining about their lives and looking for sympathy. Also, in other cases, people are bragging about their victories. As I explained on a philosophy forum, I think people want too many pats on the back.

My Opinion about faceboom is quite simple.. I consider it as a Social networking site.. Basically, you will have both positive and negative effects using a social networking sites... But lets see it in a positive way.. FB allows us to chat with people.. Which will connect people from each and every corner of the world.. It is also a good medium to transfer news and notices and all.. We can share our pictures and wonderful moments among peoples..
Lets make world a better place with Facebook..

I have to be in the 1% of the world that is not into Facebook at all. It seem like a good concept at first, with it only being open to college students. However, when it opened up to the public I really wasn't interested. People air their dirty laundry for attention and pretend to be people they are not and its sickening,

Facebook can be incredibly useful for internet marketing. Just make sure you don't spam spam your friends. Therefore, you should stick to internet groups only. You would want to join internet groups full of real people who enjoy internet marketing, buying and selling things, etc.. A keyword here is "real people". Some internet groups are full of spam accounts. The whole point of spam accounts is to scam people on Fiverr.

Facebook, maybe the hottest networking site back then. Now it's just boring and people just don't let it be what it use to be. A place to network with your friends and family. Now it has become a networking site for everything, everybody is in everybodies business and everybody post their business just to get likes. It isn't fun any more, so now I just use it to read the news and reply to family and friends when they want to chat a bit.

Facebook is a good social media but it is important to make sure that we do not misuse it. I get bored with friends who are used to posting just anything. The less one posts the more friends are going to take your posts seriously.

Facebook was great a couple years ago, but now it has turned bori g for me because there is nothing interesting, even the interface is old and flat. I would like to see something fresh.
I also hate Facebook because a lot of people write in many different ways, and some of them look like a complete new language. (At least in my country)

I love that you can reconnect with old friends and even keep in touch with family that is thousands of miles away, but I hate meeting who love posting their entire life online. There should be a limit to how many updates you can post per day.

I agree, Fallarts! When I first joined Facebook, I thought it was amazing. I found old childhood friends that I had not heard from in years. Reconnecting was a lot of fun, plus I enjoyed seeing the pictures of their families and activities. However, when I get on now, I have to plow through a thousand ads or animal videos that someone has "liked and shared". Literally, out of 20 posts, I doubt that two are personal and interesting to me. It's really just sort of exhausting now to even get on the site.
