Actually, I've been a fan of this quote for a long time now and this quote is "Blowing out other people's candle does not make yours glow brighter". The author of this quote is still unknown until now, but I'll give my high respect to whoever may he/she is. I encountered this quote while I'm browsing one of my social media account and it actually came from a page. The first time I read this quote, it got me 'woah'. I immediately like it because we have the same principle in life. I'm a type of person who never wanted to drag people down in order for me to lift my self up or to look I am a better person than him/her. I honestly hate doing that thing, but it does not mean that I am easy to get. I just never wanted to be rude to anyone in any situation as much as I can, in fact, I want us both to go to the right path without leaving the other one behind but make sure you are in the same boat.

"The most beautiful things in life are not seen but felt by the heart." -Helen Keller
Beautiful things in life, which the shadows always seem to get a bad rap, but they are a beautiful thing on a hot summer day.
Felt by the heart, a heart that beats like a force field that offers you protection from yourself as well as the outside world.

And the most beautiful things in life are when you give unforeseen love to a person after that he or she felt consolation.

"The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best for today."

Your past gives you a lesson that you can use in the present to help you succeed in the future. Your present is the basis of what you'll be in the future so do your best, be wise on making decisions and correct your mistakes while you still can an before its too late.

I have two favorite quotes that inspire me more and more each day,
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter"-Martin Luther King Jr.
"Put in the work to become your best self, and God will put you into your best life." - Devon Franklin

That's great! That's actually one of my favourites quotes too. If I were to choose my favourite, meaning the best of the best, i will choose a particular statement made by Jesus Christ, He said, 'You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free'

This quote is the foundation for my beliefs, mindset and actions, and I have found it to be truly helpful

"The Trouble is, You Think You have Time"

This is my all time favourite quote. I guess this sums up everything. We all think we have time to get things done, but we always do same thing we procrastinate. We belive that we can do it at last time. Then, problem hits. We take time for granted assuming it will never run out. We miss out everything because we think we have time. We must understand that we have a limited time, so we should learn to manage it in order to get the most of it. We should try to make our best out of everything in the present and should not wait for the other day.

My favorite quote is from a poem written by William Ernest Henley entitled Invictus. The quote is "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul".

I personally like this quote, which is a part of a poem, because it gives me strength to go on in life. It reminds me not to give up. Never say die attitude like what Nelson Mandela showed South Africa that time. I memorized the poem by heart. Invictus is a beautiful poem that will inspire a lot of readers.

I've printed a hard copy of this poem and put it in my desk, so every time I'm at my desk working, I can read it and be motivated from time to time. I've also watched the same titled movie that was released last 2009. Morghan Freeman acted as Nelson Mandela. I would suggest this movie to all since I'm sure you will learn a lot of life lessons from this movie.

I just want to share some of the lessons I've learned from the movie and from this quote inspired by Nelson Mandela's life. You know, there a lot of times that we are afraid to do something. There are a lot of hindrances that will keep us from succeeding. Be courageous, you will only live once. Opportunities sometime comes only once. Don't be afraid to take a risk. If we fail, we fail but after that you will realize, at least I've tried. And don't be afraid to try again. Don't ever give up. In the end, you will not feel regret, weather you fail or succeed, because you know you try and you did your best. Remember, you are the master of your fate and you are the captain of your soul. No one but you, will decide of the path your going in. Be courageous, don't be afraid.

    My best quote is "
Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor."

Two quotes that I find particularly inspiring come from the two of the great moral leaders of the 20th century, Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. Gandhi suggested that we should each "be the change you want to see in the world," which very succinctly advises that we are all responsible for social actions, social change, and we must accept this responsibility ourselves before expecting others to do so.

King famously said that "Darkeness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. And hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. "The wisdom in these words is clear. Again, we are advised to choose the right path to change and not simply react, repriprocate and "give what we get".

“There are ships sailing to many ports, but not a single one goes where life is not painful.”
Fernando Pessoa, The Book of Disquiet

This is my favourite quote. It's painfully beautiful.
Ever since I was little, I always felt life was cruel. I remember being a child and thinking about death. Why do people have to die and how can we get over that sadness of losing people we love?
Then I tried to get over these thoughts, to be a little optimistic and to see the beauty - if it exists - of life. I thought you either have to be happy or sad, there are no in-betweens. You're either miserable or the happiest person on earth.
Growing up and going through more things made me realise there is sadness wherever you go, and you just have to live with it.
As Fernando said, not a single one goes where life is not painful. There's pain everywhere and maybe, that's what makes life beautiful.

"Never loose the focus of a gazelle for a dashing squirrel" This quote will remain my best quote. It always inspire me when am almost giving up in chasing my dreams. Sometimes when am planning a big project or a goal that may seem so hard to achieve or demanding when a discouraging voice ring my mind that I should just focus on something that will bring quick return I always console myself with that quote.

“Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and over to annihilation can that which is indestructible in us be found.” - Pema Chodron

This is my favorite quote because it every time I read it I am reminded of the benefits of facing all my trials. I really do believe that some strengths are inevitably forged in fire, and this quote reminds me of that. If I am forever striving to find the strong parts of myself, then I have to be forever willing to expose myself to the testing of those parts.

That verse is really motivational. With it in mind you are sure of succeeding. There is somebody who strengthens you.

In addition to that quote just add this one. "Never, ever give up." This quote by sir. Winston Churchil is motivational too.

This was a mind opening thread, i love this. Positivity is my life's all time goal, despite of all those negative energies that surround this world? I smile, i remember, im dealing with a life's normal despair and sadness, it led me to a quote, " You have a problem, can you do something about it? Yes? Then why worry? Again, you have a problem, can you do something about it? No? Then why worry?"

Life is a constant learning yes, worrying is a virus that leads us to being unproductive, now, to whom that will read this, don't worry my friend, stay positive, life is a wheel of palm, you'll be sad yes, you'll be happy as well very yes.

A piercing words of humans mouth can shred you to pieces, deal with it, strengthen your mental fortitude, because you my friend, don't have control of any situation in this lifetime, this quote stroke me, " But you have control over one thing, your smile". My favorite quotes of life. These quotes by the way came from Gaur Gopal Prabhu, a monk whom I respect so much.

Mine is "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

My favorite Quote is "From the valiant heart nothing is Impossible" for me this means that as long I have a valiant heart I can do anything and there is no such a word like Impossible. If we just have an optimistic mind we can surpass all circumstances that come in our life. Always, remember that all of our problems are temporary we must face it rather run into it. After that circumstance, we can have a strong and brave heart that is ready for the next challenge in life. As the song goes "there's a rainbow always after the rain".

    Never argue with a fool.

I try to remind myself of that when I feel myself getting drawn into a stupid argument.

one of my favorite quotes is sort of a long one. The last part of the quote especially.

“The fact is that we have no way of knowing if the person who we think we are is at the core of our being. Are you a decent girl with the potential to someday become an evil monster, or are you an evil monster that thinks it's a decent girl?"
    "Wouldn't I know which one I was?"
"Good God, no. The lies we tell other people are nothing to the lies we tell ourselves.”
    ― Derek Landy, Death Bringer
