Do you like painting, sketching, dancing or anything else? Feel free to mention it.

I like to make music, preferably instrumental music on piano in my free time. I also love to play guitar and experiment with electronic sounds.

As an artist, my hobby is just drawing. I tend to draw animals or monsters if I am ever in the mood. I am not the best artist but feel with a little more practice I will get there. I feel drawing is just a good way to bring my ideas out. I tend to generally take an hour to draw just one character but I am usually satisfied with what I make.

I love writing and reading. I have always been better at communicating by writing than by talking, even as a child. As I grew older, I started writing fiction and nowadays I'm working on several books I will publish someday. I also love writing songs. Furthermore, I used to be a very good painter when I was a teenager, but I haven't touched a brush in years. I don't know why I stopped doing it. I also love music but I'm more of a listener. I did learn how to play the guitar when I was 10 or so but also stopped practicing for some reason. I haven't had the motivation to go back with it again.

My hobby, however unconventional, is thinking. I read a lot and write a lot as well. While at it, I get to handle a lot of information and it provides a lot of food for thoughts. Using all the information, I like to think of cases and scenarios in as much details as possible. For instance, a little while back, when media/journalists were creating commotion and providing biased news, all the while fighting over freedom of speech, I analyzed and thought of a regulatory amendment for the laws that govern information and education.

Thinking is a pretty neat hobby, I must say. You can actually delve in many dangerous and unconventional realms without actually doing anything radical. Word of advise, before thinking, gather as much information as you can to make it something really productive.

I love anything about arts just like what I've mentioned on my other post. I do love to paint and play the guitar and piano so whenever I have the time to spare, I do any of these. There are plenty of things that I wanted to paint, most of them are elements of the unseen realms. Fairies, elves and the like are some of the things that I love to draw and paint as I can express my curiosity in an artistic manner.

My hobby as an artist is making Kumihimo bracelets. Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese braiding technique, and I think it creates beautiful bracelets. The technique is very simple, but the results are astonishing.

Most people use a foam disk with slits cut out of it and a hole in the middle. You cute the amount of strands of string as the pattern says, and position them around the loom. Then, you move the strings on the bottom left and top right to the top left and bottom right. Then, turn counterclockwise. You do this until you have your desired length.

An artist loves what he/she does. It might be portery or weaving. I personally love singing.

I enjoying painting using acrylic paint. I have been painting a little over three years now, and when I do have the time to paint, I truly enjoy doing so. I also enjoy the art of making collages, using items from greeting cards and with items that have been cut out of a magazine and/or newspaper. I have found that Rubber Cement is the best medium for gluing paper items to another surface, without causing damage to the paper.

Unfortunately, I didn't get lucky enough to get many "artistic genes," but I find that I enjoy doing crafts. That is about as artistic as I can get. Since it is around Christmas time, I have been making a lot of homemade ornaments. They don't always turn out the best, but I always have fun trying!

I personally am taking a lot of time out of my day just to sketch. This includes sketching from reference (freehand of course, sketching from the mind, and simply for relaxation purposes. I plan on moving over to computer sometime soon but for now I will stick with my pencil and paper.

There are so many art form to choose from but drawing is what I like the most since when I was a child. I even have drawings on the wall of my room and you guessed it right that I was scolded because of that. I also drew random images at the back pages of my notebook which I hide from my parents. They don't like it because they think it's just wasting paper. It sounds sad but I don't hate my parents because they have a point. I still didn't gave up and continue my hobby until now that I was able to make portraits. My parents love it and I was able to make some as a gift to my friends and relatives. Like Blazing Flash97, I am also planning to learn how to use computer as a tool for drawing aside from pencil and paper.

I like to draw, paint and build. I'll sometimes paint minis. I customized a mini by building its armor for a D&D campaign. I've also built some dice trays and dice jails. Sometimes I'll draw my characters or creatures that we're fighting in-game.

These days I don't really do much art, but back in highschool, I did found object art. Essentially it's just finding items to use to build pieces of art. I would often make sculptures.

I sadly haven't done it in years, but would like to jump back into it soon. I imagine I could start to sell my work as well.

I do some drawing and painting once in a while as well. I need to start picking that up again too.

Wow, these look so cool! I'd like to make minis for my campaign too - though currently, I do draw our characters. I'd like to practise drawing posing and variation for full scenes, as recreating in-game events is a cool idea.

I turned one of my hobbies into a business. I am a fashion designer and love to draw designs that I dream of, cut them out, sew them and photograph myself in them. I also love to write stories and music. One day I will publish a few books and songs.

I consider crafting to be one of my main forms of art as well. I don't believe that, as long as you are enjoying yourself and have a passion for what you're doing, that it matters that you have "artistic genes" or not. I've seen some amazing things created by individuals who don't consider themselves artists. I've also seem some terrible things created by people who devote themselves to their craft. You are also your worst critic.

My personal favorite artistic hobby is knitting, although I tend to take an extra special interest in printmaking. I've been knitting since I was about 15, even though it was considered to be a grandma craft and I sort of got made fun of for it. Soon though, it seemed like knitting made a resurgence in popularity. I'm 33 now, so I've been knitting for almost 20 years! I usually like to freestyle and not follow a pattern. When I mess up that way I tend to only be able to blame myself and have an easier time starting over. When I follow a pattern and make a mistake, I have a much harder time starting over because I feel like with a pattern there should be no room for mistakes. It tells you exactly what to do! But I'm not perfect. I also enjoy the creative process of creating my own designs.

As for printmaking, I took a class in college that piqued my interest and ever since I have not been able to curb my obsession. I am particularly fond of linocut, woodcut, and stamp making. The process and the appeal of the finished Lino and woodcut product is so appealing to me. I've always had a thing for bold, black and white, contrasting images. Of course, not all of these print styles are created as black and white, but those are my particular favorites because it really highlights the textures and patterns in the piece.
