Recently I've discovered this wonderful thing called matcha. It's a fine powder tea, which is made by drying green tea leaves that have been specially grown and then grinding them to a fine powder.

I discovered the tea when I stumbled across an article about the health benefits of matcha and immediately decided I had to try it out! Now that I've been using it for a while, I have to say that I've become a huge fan. The taste may not be for everyone, it can taste a little chalky to some, but the benefits are really worth it. Matcha possesses higher levels of caffeine and theanine than regular green tea and sometimes even more than coffee!

Are there any others out here who have tried matcha or have been wanting to try it? I'm also curious about how you guys prepare it!

I've tried matcha a few times. The first time I tried it, it was in a tea bag form. I didn't add anything to it, so it was a little bitter-tasting to me. So, the next time I made the tea, I added a little bit of all-natural, local honey. It was a lot better that way for me.

I also had matcha as a smoothie. I added a frozen banana, matcha powder, almond butter, and some yogurt. It is an interesting green color, but it is delicious! It helped me with energy and keep my sweet cravings at bay.

I really don't know the taste of matcha but I know the taste of a green tea. I've learned about matcha when I've read an article about matcha tea in viewjunction. I am quite intrigued if it's palatable to my taste. But from what I've learned, it is delicious depending on one's taste. I like healthy food drinks so I think I will love this.
