    Hi all,

Just wanted to share my opinion on this "In Rainbows" album, recorded by the British band Radiohead.

It was released back in the year 2007, and I must say that the first time I listened to the album, I was like "This is weird, I never listened to anything like it."

I gave it a few more tries and every time I listened to the whole album, I liked it more and more; it has awesome guitar arrangements, great bass lines and some very special background sound effects that were made using a variety of unconventional instruments.

I came to the conclusion that the reason why I didn't appreciate it fully at first, is that it was ahead of its time; the arrangements were not standard and the instruments used were not common for rock / alternative music in the 2000 decade.

I really recommend it, so if you get the chance, give it a try.

    Thanks for reading!

In Rainbows, was beautiful. It didn't seem ahead of its time to me, instead felt like an incredibly warm synthesis of all the different styles of Radiohead up to that point. King Of Limbs seemed disappointing compared it to afterwards.

My husband really enjoys Radiohead, and I admit that I haven't given them as much of a chance as I should. I just started listening to this album by your advice and I will see where I land, and I definitely agree about interesting guitar and bass lines. I played bass a bit in high school so that always draws me in! I don't like Thom Yorke's voice though, and I keep coming back hoping that my taste will change.
