9$ Computer? What u think?

It's kinda sick that you can now buy a computer for 9$ which fits in your pocket.


What do you think about this new computer?

 

They're cool for basic stuff. The one I know is raspberry pi, which is a bit more expensive, around 25€ for the one with the lowest specs. I have a friend that owns one and he uses it for the same reason I'd use it too, which is to watch Tv shows that I download. Just plug it into the TV with an hdmi cable and done.

But you can also browse the internet and watch some videos with it. I don't think it has the capacity for games, maybe if it's an arcade game, it'll probably run it

 

I hope they invent small graphics cards and ram and stuff in the future. So we can play games with mini computers

 

That looks amazing. I would love to get one with a portable enclosure sent to me for a review for my site. That would be absolutely amazing to own one and use. A full fledged computer practically in your pocket for just $9? Who wouldn't love one of these? I wonder how practical it would be to use though. I would assume it'd run a mobilized OS for faster processing in most cases?

 

I think it is amazing, how the human race has developed as small computers for $9 dollars are made now and hope this does work out as it could be appealing and also could use it for some of the basics like internet or use for assignments. I reckon, that, these computers will work and also may do good business when the market is good and hope it does get good reviews from the people who do buy and use it. This sort of computer would be good and have not seen this in my country and also would be buying it if it does release in my country and use it when I am not on my laptop.

 

I love this Idea. I want one. I usually hate small things but for the price it is totally worth it. I never knew it could get that small but than again cell phones/smart phones are not that big either. They also do not cost $9. If they actually reach their goal on kickstarter I wonder what their finished product will be like.

It is an amazing advance but at the same time I feel like it isn't that practical at the moment because our phones have more processing power. I feel as though until it can surpass the mobile technology we already have at such a cheap price I will stick to my laptop and cell phone.

 

Computers such as the one in the video are a great idea to turn your regular TV into a media center with full Internet access. The device is not optimal for daily processing of work due to its limited capabilities. It however can be a tool used to host and stream your media content from your laptop directly to your TV. This is great because you do not have to buy streaming boxes which limit you (such as Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast). You are basically running a mini computer which has no software limitations in relation to the size of the hard drive. The other boxes I mention are limited to which companies decided to make software that fits the needs of the Roku, Chromecast, etc.
