What do you use the Internet for?

I personally use the Internet for miscellaneous activities, such as reading news, watching humor videos, learning to cook (because I need to help my wife more often in the kitchen, haha).
In the past, I used to play video games, too, especially MMORPGs, but my interest quickly vanished because money quickly started to become an issue. Beside these, I also make some spare money. Although it's not much and can't truly replace a normal 9-5 job, it can refill my piggy bank whenever it gets empty, haha.
What about you, guys? What do you use the Internet for? If you make money on it, please share your methods, we would really appreciate them.

 

I used internet a lot. Everything I want to know is a click a way using internet. I used internet to connect to my friends, family, and relatives. Share everything online like pictures, videos, and many more.

 

Like a lot of people, I'll use the internet for most things these days, from watching a movie to skyping a fried or relative, playing games to researching and shopping, there's isn't much in my household that it doesn't get used for.

I wouldn't say it's taking over my life, but it's not too far off.

 

Browsing 9GAG, looking up weather forecast, reading news, playing online games, earning some extra money, contacting people over social portals and Skype. I think it would be pretty hard to live without internet, it's a good place to waste your time when there is nothing better to do.

 

I use the internet for research, communication, entertainment, and income. The internet is a fantastic resource. Instantaneous communication, information at your finger tips, and streaming video and audio. I had an email address before the world wide web was even very functional. It has been great to see the internet evolve the way it has over the years. I expect more great things to come.

 

I think it's used so we can stay in touch with the world even better. With the rising use of social media sites to keep in touch with friends to the daily update of news from the other side of the world. It practically has everything, it can help you find your long lost cousin, it can help you find the nearest pizza delivery in your area, it can help you get a job. It's wonderful.

 

I use the internet, for research when finding out information when doing a assignment or having to look up information and use it so I have a better understanding of the topic and can use it in my report or essay which can take some time to write up. I also use it for my games, as some of the games installed in my Laptop do require the internet and use it for that and sometimes play some online ones which can be interesting and something different to do and some games are short or long and depends on what one you play as well. I also watch videos and the news, and the world ones and see what is happening around me and can be something which keeps you up to date with the world and how it is changing each day and also demo videos which show cooking or making something.

 

I use the internet in many different ways but the most visible effort I make is most certainly on political forums. Starting with my own I also visit a series of communities in which I take part in debate on the current events and politics. of America. I can often be found creating imagery or searching for sources that back up my political stance. I'm very fond of civil debate so I take the time to research any topic that I intend to talk about. Whether administrating a forum or posting on one I always find myself in the niche of politics.

 

I personally use the Internet alot, the internet has replaced my library, my shopping mall and basically everything that I can do in the Internet without having to go outside, the internet has made it possible for my friends and family to communicate much fasters and share great moments together without having to travel far. The only thing I don't do is food shopping online, because I like to choose my own food. The internet has made my life much easier.

 

Pretty much everything. I use it to communicate with people, read all sorts of different stuff, watch TV shows/movies, find solutions for whatever problem I have, buy whatever I can't (or can) buy in a regular store, I use it to learn things but also to entertain myself with something silly. Just all sorts of things.

 

Personally, I use facebook for chatting with friends. The only time I log into facebook is if someone says something in the group chat, or i get tagged in something. I find it great how they add the 'pages' because if facebook didn't have them funny vine videos, i wouldn't be on it 24/7

 

I use internet for personal as well as official use. In fact most of times, say 8 to 10 hours, I am online as my work demands so. I have got so used to it that even if it gets disconnected for some time or due to some reasons I am not able to access the same, I feel very helpless. As my all official work is internet based, I have to spend lot of time online. My work is so much dependent on internet that I have kept two sources of net connections in order to prevent work loss.

 

In the past I used to use internet for playing games, but lately I stoped playing games that much. And currently is for mail, some ptc sites and news about games, movies and entertainment. I dont use facebook or any other social media sites xD guess I'm a one on a million xD

 

I am a programmer and apart from many activities which are mentioned about the internet usage - I believe one of the main advantage, I found, is getting to read the manuals (programming or other) online. And what else many a times you get them free. There are many online course websites too, which are boon too for programmers. I also use internet to get connected to "remote clients".

Apart from these - as other have also said, I too use internet for Facebook, Twitter and other social networking avenues. And a lot of time goes in to leaning about SEO though it still remains a riddle!

And well, I could have never known about "TFW" if internet was not there!

 

I use the Internet as a source of income, a source of entertainment and information.

 

I mostly used the internet to generate an income as I work from home and spend most of my hours working online. I also used the internet to assist my children with their daily assignments. On occasions when I have some extra time on my hands I will watch a movie or download music videos.

I had been always apprehensive about the "online job/s". Dare I ask but would you like to share what kind of online job/s do you do? That way this old dog will also learn a trick or two.

 

I use internet for gaming, chatting and making money online. Most of my time on internet is dedicated on working online for a couple of crowdsourcing sites. When I am free I watch youtube videos or chat with my friends on facebook.

 

I personally use the internet for gaming, social media, watching television, chatting on sites and making money where I can. Using my Xbox One takes up most of my time; including downloading those pesky updates the console seems to have on a daily basis.

Spending time on social media is quite important to me: this includes keeping in contact with my friends through facebook, checking my twitter and keeping a eye on my skype. I spend far too much time on sites like these; to be honest I should cut the time I spend on sites like these; I say this because I feel myself wasting away on social media these days and my life is dedicated to the internet.
