How much water do you drink everyday ?

    Water is a very important to our health since our bodies are made of almost 70% of it and it is involved in every bodily function from controling the body's heat to detoxifying it.

    No one can deny the importance of daily water intake and if there’s one health recommendation that everyone seems to know, it would probably be to drink eight glasses of water a day ,so, how much water do you guys drink every day? and how it helped you being a healthier person?.

    At school I learnt that water is very essential to human body. Scientists affirm that more than 80 percent of human body is water. They also maintain that while we can survive for many days without food, we cannot survive many days without water.

    Moreover, because water helps to detoxify our systems and prevent us from suffering from dehydration, I formed the habit of drinking five liters of water every day. This has really helped me to keep fit.

    As I counted, I do consume 4 liters of water per day That's probably around 16 (8 oz.) glasses a day. We live in a tropical country and it is a must to keep ourselves hydrated. It also helps detoxify our bodies and avoid heat exhaustion.

    I used to think that our bodies needs 2 liters of water everyday. I felt very bad because I consumed just as little as 3 small glasses on a daily basis. But I almost never had (and still don't have) the urge to drink water.

    Last year I went to a nutritionist because I had problems with weight. He said to me that it's not good to drink water when you are not thirsty and that 2 liters a day is a myth. Every body is different so every body needs a different dose of water.

    I read it online about 9 years ago, that all people should drink 8 glasses of water per day and I am averaging out to about 6 per day now. It is true that the body is made up of 70% water and you become dehydrated. All your doing by drinking water is replacing electrolytes and water is what your body needs to function properly. By not nourishing yourself with water, but with other fluids, like pineapple juice, milk, tea and pepsi, your kidneys and liver are not getting the nutrients it needs to cleanse other organs. When my tongue is dry, my throat is dry for more than 25 minutes and I have an extreme thirst; those are signs I need more water intake. The average adult woman urinates more than four times a day, drinking water also prevents urinary tract infections(causes burning while you pee). I had the experience of having that infection longer than 4 days and had to have a nurse prescribe me an antibiotic for a few days when all I needed to do was stop the sugary drinks at home and just drink tap water.

    Wow, that is really a lot of water. I think that every person should drink water if it feels thirsty. 8 cups a day is just a suggestion. I drink 1-2 liters. I think that is better to drink more water than less.

    I drink almost 8 glasses of water a day. It helped me to become a healthier person as it regulates my body temperature and maintains blood pressure. Lack of water can lead to kidney stones and other problems. In short, water helped me a lot to prevent kidney damage.

    I drink a lot of fluids everyday but unfortunately I don't drink as much water as I should. I have continously tried to slow down my soda intake and even coffee and to drink more water. But somehow my mind always convinces me that water will always be there so let's finish the soda or something else. But I would like to drink more water, not only for me but for the sake of my kids as well.

    I drink 1-2 liters of water. More only if I'm having long exercise session, but if I'm exercising or walking for 90min I probably drink at least 1liter more. Not by force, but I just feel the need. No sodas, pop drinks or juices, but I do drink too much coffee. I always feel better when drinking less coffee, but when I get stressed that goes out the window.
    Generally I keep a bottle of water at my desk or next to my bed at all times, so it's effortless reminder to drink a bit more. I always feel the difference if I stop drinking enough for few days for whatever reason.

    Because of my busy schedule at school, I tend to forget drinking enough water which is 8 glasses or 2 liters that's why I'm always dehydrated.

    Right now, I was able to drink atleast 2 liters of water by drinking 1 liter in the morning and another liter in the afternoon at school. I always make sure to bring my tumbler with me.

    It depends on how much activities I do that day and on the temperature. If I don't do any sports I drink around 1,5l and if I have, around 3l.
