I usually see my mother doing Yoga and when I gave it a try one day I didn't find it to be of any benefit to me. On your own point of view, tell me how Yoga can be of benefit.

If you're looking to get a greek god sculpted body with massive pecs, a v-shaped back and chiseled abs, then i guess yoga isn't for you. But a yoga session can be more hard than you think.
Just like any sport you start out light and easy then you go hard. Yoga hosts many demanding exercises like the crow pose or the handstand which require a lot of strength, balance and flexibility.

Yoga is a method of discipline, which involves a system of physical, mental and spiritual practices for the purpose of uniting your body, mind and soul. By systematic practice of Yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (Pranayama) and meditation, you can awaken the energy centers in your body and reach the state of super consciousness, which is the highest state of awareness.

Yoga will keep you away from diseases and doctors. You know prevention is better than cure. Yoga is prevention; not cure. It is a way of life suitable for people of all ages, which does not need any investment, except your persistence.

At first, I also didn't like yoga because I feel like I'm wasting time and it seems boring but when I did it regularly, I noticed that it somewhat changed my mood and helped me with my anxiety and panic attacks. I also noticed that my arms and legs toned up which made me continue and leveled it up by doing hot yoga. I only do it at home especially when the weather is so hot. It's so satisfying to finish with dripping sweats.

There are so many benefits to yoga @zephania, I'm sorry you didn't get to experience any of them. It increases flexibility and strength and is also a great way to clear your mind and re-center yourself. I prefer hot yoga because I get a sense that I'm also sweating out impurities and toxins as well. It's a great way to get the blood flowing and increase circulation and I feel revitalized after a great yoga session.

Well, that depends on what you want yoga to help you with. For example, if you are looking for abs of steel like Superman, then yoga probably isn't for you. But it doesn't increase your flexibility and it is insanely useful in clearing your mind. Yoga starts out nice and easy just like any other sport and then it gets harder as you go into exercises that require a greater amount of flexibility and strength.

I find yoga the best for myself. I am a person who has to be careful when doing sports because I tend to go too hard. Yoga is much more relaxed and you can also recover from stress. You can do yoga every day and if you do fitness workouts, yoga is perfect for stretching your muscles so you don't get sore muscles. So yoga has a lot of positive qualities that not only help you to stay fit but also to relax or reduce pain.
