Desktop by a mile. Even though to get a good setup on a desktop it can be more expensive than a Laptop it's paid off by the fact that your desktop often has much more powerful hardware than a Laptop of the same price. There is the issue of living in multiple houses. This means that you spend a lot of time dismantling and assembling the setup so you can use it there. Laptops are more convenient and I do miss the ability to take my Laptop anywhere with only a Keyboard + Mouse.

I must admit, after little bit of thinking, laptop is what i prefer. I did not think of this before,
It was normal to have and use one or another. But if i must make a decision which one to keep it would be my laptop for sure. I just love it more.

Actually I am comfortable with both. When i travel i prefer laptops and when i am at home I prefer desktop for almost all type of works and for gaming. I also own a tab from iball, using it for watching movies and I am lying on the bed.

I personally prefer laptops more than desktops because I usually travel to many places and sometimes I stay out of home for a day or two. I'm using my brother's laptop and it really helps to do my work or surf on the internet in those kinds of situations. However, I don't recommend laptops to play video games. I'm also a big fan of video games, but I'm not using my laptop to play games, even my laptop is capable of running new games. If you play video games on a laptop, it will affect your laptop's battery life. So, instead, I play games on my desktop.

I use both for different purposes but I use my laptop most of the time because it's portable. I am a gamer so I enjoy customizing the parts of my desktop to enhance its specs and performance to suit my needs (or wants :)). But most of the time I am mobile so I have to rely on my laptop to do my work. I know there are already gaming laptops available in the market but I prefer building my gaming rig on my own because I find enjoyment in doing so.

    Desktop !

Desktop CPUs are More! power full because they are not limited for power consumption. In other words more electricity to "eat" you get more power. Also desktop CPUs are not limited in their architecture meaning that mobile(laptop,net-book) CPUs are less power full.

Desktops have more RAM capacity, AMD CPUs support up to 16GB RAM and Intel up to 24GB , Laptops are limited to 8GB max. Desktop motherboards are also better because they are limited in size. Desktop graphic cards are also Much!!! better and power full than the Integrated for laptops. If you try to compere a full size GPU with one of a laptops you will see a Big difference in performance.

Also desktops have much bigger HDD capacity, I have 1x320GB master and 3x3TB slave, my laptop have only 320GB XD.

I prefer laptops to desktops. They are compact and can be carried anywhere you go. Now a days there is hardly any difference between laptops and desktops. Laptop models which can perform far better than desktops are available in the market. So, basically, I will always go for a laptop.

Now even the laptops are giving way to tablet computers, which are ultra compact. With the advent of touch screens, working on them is really easy and fun.

I think a laptop is better for personal use. I also think a laptop is better if you are on the go a lot. A laptop is better when you trying to do something fast.

Nowadays laptops can be for the most part as proficient as desktops. For sure with my new laptop I can do altogether more than with my desktop which is only a few years old. It all depends on upon what is your interest and object is, be that as it may I for the most part go for a laptop because of its versatility of convenientce and more battery time where power is an issue.

Choosing between a laptop and desktop can be a difficult decision to make. However, a desktop is an excellent choice. While on the other hand, laptops have got an advantage due to their portability. With a laptop, your documents and applications are always at hand as compared to a desktop. A laptop also has got a wireless card that enables you to access the internet anywhere at anytime.

What make a desktop an excellent choice?

    1. Desktops are cheaper as compared to laptops
    2. Desktop processors are more powerful than laptop processors hence long lasting.
    3. You can plug a ton of peripheral devices into desktops pots.
    4. With a desktop, you can connect it with extra large screen or multiple monitors.

It really depends on many factors.. My main use would be gaming so I'd go with the desktop since it's
    • Faster
    • Cheaper
    • Easy to upgrade
Yes there are some "gaming laptops" out there but are they really any good? I don't think so..

The laptops are for non-gamers, people that use it for work and for browsing the internet. Definitely not for gamers.

With the current trends in technology, affordability and portability accounts on computers. We need a computer with a high memory capacity, supports many applications, portable, durable and that comes with a pocket friendly price tag. I will go for a laptop since I find it more useful to me.

A laptop has got an advantage due to its large memory capacity. Nowadays, laptop prices have significantly fallen and with less than $100 dollars, you can acquire one. Just a week ago I bought a laptop at only $94 dollars and it was an Android 4.2 Notebook with 10.1 inch screen. It has a memory capacity of 512MB and the processor speed is 1.5GHz.You cannot buy a desktop at $90 dollars with that memory.

Desktops are cheaper than laptops-both when you buy them new, and when you have to make repairs. There are a few reasons for this, but the main reason is that mobile components are more expensive, because they're, well, smaller, and expensive engineering is required to make them fit inside your laptop, table, or smartphone.

Desktop components don't have to be nearly as small or fit together like jigsaw pieces, because a roomy desktop tower is a heck of a lot larger than even the most generously sized laptop. Of-course, to be fair, you pay for more components when you purchase a laptop you're also purchasing a screen, keyboard, and track-pad. But, of-course, you can pick up a keyboard and a mouse for around $5 each, and a decent 24-inch monitor can cost as little as $50. Both have their own value or use in today's life. It depends on us what we like to use.

Personally, I think it all depends on what your needs are when it comes to computers. If you want a computer that can hold a lot of data and you plan to do a lot of CPU intense work, then nothing beats a Desktop, especially since it is cheaper to upgrade than a laptop.

Laptops are handy when you need to do work on the go, but that's about it since upgrading them will cost you more money and due to how it is designed, a laptop runs a higher risk of breaking down on you faster than a desktop. It's really all up to personal preference, though.

I currently own a laptop and desktop, but most of the time I am always on my desktop. I prefer to work on my desktop, and on occasion I play some games on it as well. On occasion I use my laptop if ever I need to travel somewhere, and sometimes I use it to store some of my important files. The only drawback is that I usually have to update my laptop with the latest programs, which can take some time depending on how long I last used my laptop. With my desktop, I can easily update my programs easily.

A desktop will have a better performance than a laptop for sure, but a laptop is way more convenient for use in many situations. For example, you can bring a laptop to many places like a coffee shop or a station, but you can't bring a desktop. I have both desktop and laptop. I use my laptop for some work and desktop for graphics and gaming.

Oh man that a tough question, I would have to say both. But if I really had to choose one I would have to choose a desktop, and that just for the simple fact that I can upgrade all the components fairly easy without the need of a PC Technician.

I like laptops better than PCs for the simple reason that laptops are more convenient to use as it is portable and user friendly. You can work anytime and anywhere using your laptop without the hassle of just staying in one place. I disposed my pc a long time ago because I was pretty much convinced that laptops/notebooks are for me especially for my type of work as a freelance writer and blogger.
