A great story if the songwriter, has some thing to say. I can fall in love with that song for every.
American pie is my #1 song, but great beat like Billie Jean , can make me move my feet ,
even if I am at a public places, like Target .

The first thing I listen to in a song are the instruments. If they are well played, the song gets my attention and that's when I start listening to the words. If the words are being sang from the heart, I fall in love with the song even more.

The essential of every music is the message, followed by the instrumental. If the message of the song goes with my specific situation, I will definitely like and play it whenever I am in the same scenario.

I immediately listen more carefully to a song when I can feel it stir something deep inside me. Occasionally, when I am in public places, such as on a bus, or in other places where one frequently encounters music, I might come across a song that literally overwhelms me. Often, I feel as if some greater force was sending me a message through the song to wake me up, and to make me more aware of who I am and where I am heading in life. This has a profound effect on my consciousness. There are times, when I feel transformed by a song, especially when it draws awareness to a particular question or feeling that I have been dealing with for a long time. No doubt, there is real magic in music, and in the people who are masters at bringing it closer to us.

I take every song like a package. That means I have to like everything (the lyrics, the beat, the melody) about it before I will be loving it. I love songs that gets me to experience something whenever I would listen to it. It could be a memory, a feeling, a dream or a combination of those.

I really enjoy listening to the older hits for the 70's and 80's for some reason the artists back then relied on talent. This seems to be something that has got lost in some of today's so called music stars as they seem more stuck on producing a video that actually producing a quality sound. This is not to say that there is no talent out there today but it really just seems to get lost in the crush of those that have non at all :D

What makes me love a song is the story. I will find good songs will have a story behind it. It will want the listener to want more. It's more then the beat it has to be the lyrics. Lyrics and a good beat makes for a good song.

Most of the time the rythm itself makes me fall in love with the song. If I just listen to some pattern that feels like it moves me, it means that is a song to listen to. This of course applies with instrumental and songs with vocals.

I also pay attention to what the lyrics say and sometimes they make me like a song, but if the rythm gets me then I just let myself go with the music hahaha.

I love songs with a good tune and lyrics that were well thought about. I don't like those nonsense songs that are piling up the radio these days.

The hook, I believe a great love song can come from many different places, such as personal experiences or the experiences of friends and family, but the hook in a song (the chorus) is where the magic happens. The hook to me is the most rememberable part of a love song.

It makes me love it when it has what it takes to change my mood. A good beat is something. You can change a persons mood by just making a good beat. Second is the lyrics, it will work if you want to get emotional or you want to be sentimental.

My genre is rock, pop and RnB. This makes me feel good every time. Maroon 5 got what it takes to have a good quality of songs. Beat, rhythm and lyrics. They all got it! I love them because they make songs that will surely stuck in your mind. Making people to whisper their songs every time they will remember it. Just wow.

The first thing that I consider is the lyrics. Vocals and tune would also play a major role but Lyrics have always been the Heart of music. I believe that a song is a story being told which instantly refreshes my mind and helps me to be in a good mood.

I like songs with either a really past, or really slow pace, I have no idea why. It just feels more unique than the rest, and the fast ones make me super hyped and more excited, while the slow ones relax me and help me focus. Then the lyrics come in. I really like the lyrics with some kind of meaning, and when they're not repeated words all over again, that's why I'll probably never like pop music. The best thing is, when the beat really fits in with the lyrics. It really increases the song's quality for me.

My number one thing that makes me connect with a song are the lyrics, usually. I have to relate or feel them in some sort of way.
The other things that catch me are the beat or rhythm, the catchiness or ability to get stuck in my head and the overall recorded quality of the song.

My favourite song of all time is I Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, which combines incredibly poignant lyrics with Steve Tyler's amazing vocals. All sorts of things can make me love a song, from the lyrics to the artist to the instrumental to the 'catchiness' of the tune.

Music is something else for me. When I listen to a song, I forget everything. When I discover a new song and really love it, I listen to it for like a week straight. When I love a song, I mean I love the meaning on the song. Songs have a different way of making me feel. I feel happy, like I got no stress on me. Me loving a song is really important, because I'm kind of picky with my music. When a song I love comes on, I automatically start smiling, dancing, and singing. Some people, they love a song because it makes them feel better with whatever their going through.

What makes me love a song, is when I can feel the emotion, if it has depth, and organic music. I love slow music such as classical, and soulful music, it seems like it touches your heart and mind.

I have to listen to the lyrics of a song to decide whether or not the song becomes a part of my favorites list. Now songs that I have listened to lately I really think they would be better as an instrumental because the lyrics are just hard on the ears and the mind. Some of this new age music makes me feel like listening to it for to long will make me dumb or something because has no meaning, poor grammar, and it sounds like something baby say when they first start learning to talk. With that being said I truly believe that a great song will tell a story that the listener can relate to in his or her own life that why I love old school music, country, blues, and gospel. Some of these songs do have catchy better that are great for to exercise too.

Lyrics and melody matter most to me. I easily fall in love with a song that tells a beautiful story. I am moved by its beautiful melody. And I am totally awed by sincere rendition of the artist.
