Do you think scientists will eventually kill God?

As science progresses, as the years go by and as the scientists know more, the more tempting atheism becomes. With the massive volume of Inconsistencies getting discovered everyday I can confidently say without a doubt that the larger portion of the globe will not be believing in God very soon. What are your thoughts?

 

I'd like to start by stating that I am an atheist.

Now that that's out of the way, I don't think that science can ever kill God. Nor do I think that any reputable scientist will try. Science seeks to answer the questions of how the perceivable world exists. God exists outside of the perceivable world. People can simply say that God causes everything that science measures and predicts. Philosophy covers questions of why the world exists this way.

 

Kill God. Not likely religion is too rooted into many people for that to happend. In the future many generations forward something might happend that will convince most people to not believe but people will always believe in something even if it isn't god.

 

I guess it depends what you mean by "God". in the abrahamic context, perhaps it will fade from public thought. Parts of the world are becoming more secular. Parts of the world are getting more religious.

Religion will be replaced by other world views, which will likely have the same dogmatic tendencies. Just look at the Right vs Left in the USA, it seems quite religious indeed
