I know the title seems like it has an obvious answer, so let me try to explain what I’m thinking about.

Imagine you’re driving and you have the radio on, and a song that you’ve never heard before comes on. You like it; the vocals are interesting and exciting, the lyrics are on point, the beat is just right— and then the song ends and as you’re humming the chorus to yourself, a commercial break comes on and the radio announcer gives you the title of the song and the artist. Except, the artist is someone you generally dislike. Either they’re not a great person, or they’re too mainstream for your taste, or something different. Do you pat yourself on the back for finding a song of theirs you like, or are you disgusted because the artist wasn’t who you were expecting?

I’m curious to see what people think of this topic. Some people might be open to the new discovery, and some might stick to their guts.

Of course not. I like a variety of artists that produce different genres of music. It all depends on what you like, even though some people may only like one specific genre because of one artist. I would pat myself on the back for finding a song of theirs that I like, but I might search up a cover version since I do not like the artist. Again, it all depends on the person and what they like to hear.
