Do you prefer working out on the gym or at home?

Personally, I prefer working out at home. My 1 year old won't let me go to the gym in the day and my only free time is 11PM onward. There's no gym near my house and going out in that time is not really encouraging. I have an all in one bench press/lat pulldown at home and some dumbbells with plates. It motivates me much more since I can just go to my gym room and do my workout.

The only downside is the equipment, I only have the bare minimum equipment. So, the exercise that I can do is limited. Tho, I always use some creative way to do the exercise that needs a certain equipment. You could say that I use a different variation for that exercise. For example since I dont have a tricep pushdown machine, I use the lat pulldown to do my pushdown with the lat pulldown bar. I also use that do some facepull, biceps, etc. There's so much you can do with very little equipment or even no equipment at all.

For me, I prefer working out in the gym because I have free time to do it. plus they have too many good equipment, to use. but the very best reason is the companion. they give me Encouraging to keep up in my exercise plus I don't really feel the time to .working out alone is very hard and Makes me lazy

I am the opposite to @zezo. I love working out at home. Might be because I live alone so I can actually do it at any time of the day when I'm free without interruption anyone. That way I don't lose time on taking a bus. Also for me working at home is more freedom. Literally, you can do any workout, there are hundreds of options. You don't need 10 machines, just a laptop, and a good internet connection. And maybe a set of weights.

What I do is go on Youtube and make playlists divided by subject (i.e. cardio, target workouts, yoga, and pilates). Then when I am working out I can pick which workout to do. That gives me flexibility. You never even need to do the same workout twice. I've done dance cardio, zumba, yoga, pilates, workouts for specific muscle groups, etc. All I keep as the equipment is a set of small weights and a Theraband for stretching at the end. I've done that for years and never gotten bored. Every once in a while you can go for a walk or run when the weather is good.

I work out at home. I do jumping jacks, pushups, pull-ups, and skipping, etc. I don't like wights because they cause stretch marks. I enjoy being a lightweight athletic person. Doing regular exercise at home can keep one in shape. Lots of walking is also a good way to keep in shape. If the desire is to get huge mussels then the gym is the place to go. If the intention is to get into good shape fast or compete in a sports competition, the gym will be better than working out using your own body weight.

Honestly, I prefer you the gym because the range of equipment is huge. Also, if I am at the gym, I feel more motivated to work rather than if I was at home where I would want to sit on the couch and eat candy. Occasionally if I can’t make the gym, I will try to do something at home which I do enjoy. The two main problems I have with the working out at home are the lack of equipment and the lack of motivation.

I prefer doing workouts at home beacause I'm just a beginner and I don't want to waste my money just for the gym membership which I can use for other things. My main goal is to achieve a healthier body which I can still do even without going to gym.

Right now, I'm doing workouts from a youtuber named 'Fitness Blender' and I'm doing great. My mother thought that my wasteline is 22cm which is an exaggeration but I'm actually aiming for it.

I workout at the gym and at home and their are benefits to both. Firstly, I feel that I'm doing more work at the gym and there's more equipment (I don't even have a treadmill at my house). At the gym I'm able to focus on what I specifically want to do and I'm more likely to do cardio. On the other hand, if I have a long day, it's nice to be able to workout in my own home. When I feel comfortable working out in my house, I'm able to get into a routine even without the gym. I also follow Youtube videos if I can't go to the gym.

I do both, but I feel more motivated when I'm at the gym. There are just too many distractions at home.

I have always had a problem being consistent with visiting a gym. I would start for a week and then just give up a long the way. I am sure am not the only one who has such a problem of commitment. I do prefer going for a morning run and find it good enough for exercise. Maybe in future if I want to build some muscles, then the gym would be my next stop.

I prefer the gym because I get inspired by watching others exercising.
