    Hi all,

Does anybody have any ideas about how to get free local traffic from a particular area (other than Facebook)? So far, Twitter seems like the best option, because it's pretty easy to find a lot of local people by looking at people's followers. I tried Pinterest as well, but found that it wasn't really worth it.

I am mostly interested in generating leads for an offline business, so I don't need massive amounts of traffic, just trying to attract local prospects to my blog. Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance
    Fred

Hi Fred, there isn't really any real equation to that situation. I will say this though, you might want to consider buying one good source of online traffic at least once. Then, you can get customers to drip in from that source. I mean, it's not the answer you was looking for.

Try passing out traditional flyers, just because the internet exists doesn't mean paper doesn't still do the trick

    Thanks, Hodari,

Flyers are something I have been mulling over for a long time. I've always sort of figured it would be more trouble than it's worth, but now that you mention it, I think I will go with some business cards or some "club" flyers and try to leave stacks at stores where the owners know me. I could just make up some flyers promoting my blog so that it's not a really hard sell.

As far as paid traffic goes, I'm thinking Facebook ads, because I need something really targeted. I'm thinking that using FB to get potential customers into my funnel will work better than just buying expensive Google ads.
