Sport that pays the most money?

Which sports do you think should pay more?

 

I cannot say that for sure. I know that golf has some crazy numbers as well as baseball but on the other hand football and cricket are also lucrative.
I would make this about ratio between the amount of energy you loose and money you win. According to that criteria golf is number one. However, i find one particular sport very close to number one position. It is tennis, of course. Now, these crybabies complain about everything. It is like they are operating a man. The sun is too strong. Kill the sun please. Oh, the rain started. Kill the rain please. The clay or the grass is not even, Kill those things too, please. Now, the crowd is speaking and breathing. Kill... Well, you get the point. They are so overpaid. Average running per set is less then 1 km. An that is without contact with another player or jumping. You run and hit the ball which is not so heavy , with a racket which is like 250 grams and made especially for your grip. They are just big spoiled brats and tennis should have stayed an amateur sport.

 

There are lots of sports both indoors and outdoors that pay participants and sponsors huge amount of money. But looking at it on the perspective of which pays higher, I think it's football. Recently, the level of attention given to football, has gotten a greater ratio when compare with other sport activities. What makes it a huge success is that it's not only the players in the pitch that benefit from the proceeds of the gome. The coaches, the sponsors, the spectators as well as the fans benefit financially, from the game of football.

 

i think football (soccer) should get the more pay, those guys really work hard on pitch running from one end to another, it never easy.

 

I consider boxing as one of those sports that pays the most money. For example if you check the income of boxers they will stand out as top earners, probably compared with F1 drivers or some of the top grade footballers. I love watching boxing and I can safely vote in favor of boxers.

If you look at the list of top earning boxers you will find they earned lots of monies. For example look at earnings of Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Wladimir Klitschko. And the best part of the story is that a boxer doesn't have to win in order to earn but he gets a big amount even if he loses. I love boxing and happy to see entry of first Indian professional boxer in world boxing arena.

 

There are many sports that pay huge amount of money, but I can't tell for sure which one. I think though that the risky ones will normally offer more than those with low risk. Example here are the extreme sports. Another would be boxing, wrestling and soccer (football). I think that track and field athletes will also get high pay because of the energy they use when competing to marathons. Cyclist also would be in the list as it is very difficult to pedal uphill.

 

If we discuss about really big money in sports the cricket which is not a common game that is played in the entire world but only in some of the common wealth countries. The game started in England but has become one of the most popular games of Indian subcontinent countries, Australia, England, Caribbean and African countries. As far money is concerned the most of it is coming from India and some of the cricket players from India are among the top earner of sportsmen in the world.

 

I find interesting that there have been so many different answers. I guess that one of the reasons is that, when people hear this question, some think about top earners only, while others think about the average professional player.

As for the first criterion (top earners), the Forbes list of world's highest-paid athletes is a good source. It shows that Djordjemitic (who cited tennis and golf), nerdieeds (boxing, soccer), sumi (boxing) and Xpress440 (soccer) are right. Interestingly, nobody have cited basketball so far, even though there are three basketball players in Forbes top ten.

As for the second criterion (average professional player), according to Business Insider the five leagues with the highest average wage are NBA (basketball, see above), IPL (cricket, cited by Djordjemitic and rai), MLB (baseball, cited by Djordjemitic), EPL (soccer, see above), NHL (hockey, never cited here so far).

 

Soccer should pay the most quickly. Soccer is a sport that requires people running all over the place, and that certainly isn't a fun thing to do. Also, soccer has the largest fan base out of all the big 4 of sports, so the fans care the most about the sport comparatively. Research shows that the more support a game gets from the fanbase, the higher the salaries are going to be. I don't if soccer players deserve to get paid the most, but they certainly do so.

 

Basketball is a very sports in country Philippines. An A-1 player may receive a hefty sum of money for his salary

 

Football(Soccer) pays the most money to its players. The biggest football teams with huge fanbases pay the most to its players.

Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Mesii lead in Gross annual earnings in the list of sports people.

 

It is true that soccer players are one of the highest paid in the world like Lionel Messi earns around $111M a year.
However, I think car racing drivers ought to be take home a higher pay, close to what soccer players earn.

They put their lives at risk driving cars, soccer players don't.

Michael Schumacher, one of the highest paid drivers, earns around $56M a year which is a far cry from what Lionel Messi earns.

 

I believe race car drivers should get paid a bit more but overall I believe people that play sports in college should earn a lot more than just the scholarship money.
