Just wondering if anyone actually prefers Mac over Windows. i'm Interested to hear your reasoning.
Of course there are editors who prefer on editing on MacOS Software.

I just find it hard to see how people would prefer the Mac over Windows, so if you have a great reason then make sure to comment.

I can definitely agree with you. I don't understand why people would rather pay for a mac whos hardware specs is much lower compared to that of a PC. Even if you buy like a 2012 mac which is much cheaper than the current ones, it's much harder to change the hardware and improve it. But on a PC, it's really easy to upgrade the hardware to make it better.

Another thing I want to point out is in terms of gaming. Of course not everyone's intention of getting a computer is to game. Most people get it to do productive things like work or school. Most macs have really bad dedicated graphics cards that are outdated and it doesn't support direct x which most games need to run modern games with.

I've never been a fan of mac, but everyone here at my school is obsessed with it. I assume that they're just using it for school, but if they ever desire to play PC games then there's really no point. With windows, you can easily do both, so why opt for mac?

However, I do partly see the appeal because I own an Apple iPhone and it would be nice to connect my phone and computer. Sharing pictures between my computer and camera roll and texting from your mac would be lovely.

It depends on the kind of task and projects that I am going to make. If it is more on video production (e.g.,video editting) and photo editting or anything that require and intensive graphics performance I prefer to use MacOS over Windows PC. On the other side if I want some kind of flexibility and compatibility I prefer to use my Windows PC like transfer files over phone or tablet using bluetooth or any other file sharing options. And yes for the most part I definitely prefer use Windows PC over MacOS because I kind of used it for other cross-platform funtionalities and file sharing within our team.

I can't choose between these two devices because I only own a Windows laptop, however, if I'm going to buy a new one, I would like to try the Mac and experience it myself. Windows devices are cheap and upgradable, it's easy to replace the parts and it is compatible with almost any program or device available in the market. Meanwhile, Mac devices are hard to upgrade and sometimes it's impossible to do so. Both devices have their strengths and weaknesses but at the end of the day, your choice will vary depending on your preference, 'am I willing to pay for a Mac?', 'is my Windows device compatible to the work I'm going to do?'

As an experiment, I had Windows as my primary desktop for a year and then MacOS for a year. For me, MacOS was much more intuitive, things worked the way I expected them to work, I could figure out how to do things just by trying it the way I thought they should be. Windows was never like that to me, it was more a matter of knowing the best way of doing things, and the other ways usually did not work, even if documented.

The other thing is the aesthetics of the user interface. MacOS puts me in frame of mind where I enjoy doing whatever work I am doing. Windows tends to project the nervous, caffein infused hysteria of the programmers who created it to reach artificial feature lists and deadlines.
