Which Ram do you use DDR3 or DDR4 , i think that DDR4 is faster but which one do you use ? I am building a new computer so I think that i should go for the new DDR4 and so I am going to buy a Ryzen 5 Cpu , they are really fast , and if you look at the ryzen 5 1400 it has 4 core and 8 threads plus it a has AM4 chip set to it really has good performance , and with the DDR4 memory you can get a lot of more speed in mhz then using a DDR3 memory.

I would definitely use DDR4. DDR3 are for old computers and aren't suitable for newer computers. DDR3 RAM's are often slower. If you are going to use a Ryzen 5, then you need to use DDR4. I don't even think there are and motherboards in the market that supports AM4 and uses DDR3 RAM slot. Always go for DDR4 if you can.

DDR4 is generally going to be better. However, there is some legacy hardware that will still require DDR3. Older CPUs use DDR3, and even though DDR4 has been around for a while now, DDR3 still sees some use. Some older hardware can achieve similar performance to newer hardware but at a much lower price. This is important for some people who are especially focused on their budgets when building computers.

I use DDR4 because my motherboard is only compatible with DDR4.

I've used both. For my laptop it's gonna be DDR4 type of RAM that I bought intentionally for the reason of having a fast and responsive accessing the memory on my laptop. Besides there are certain factors that you need to take consider as well and that depends on the kind of specifications of you device for both laptop (windows and MacOS) and desktop as well. However I've used DDR 3 type of RAM on my desktop for some reason but I planned on upgrading to DDR4 soon.
