Hello! So, I just recently got into K-pop and welp, it's a dark, dark place. But, nevertheless. I'm in it. Might as well enjoy what I can, call out what I should.
BTS (and my 12 year old cousin) are what introduced me to K-pop. And shipping culture and all that. I wasn't really impressed at first, to me they all looked the same, the songs weren't my type and the shipping was a bit too excessive (Dd it not the make the members, if it were false, uncomfortable?). But then, I randomly listened to an NCT song and bam! I was hooked. It was Simon Says and it actually impressed me. Cue a few days later and I'd learnt the names of all the 21 members. And now I'm ridiculously attached to them. To an extent, anyway.

Hey! I got into BTS through the James Cordon Carpool Karaoke video. I used to think BTS was a bit lame, I'm not really sure why but now that I'm in the fandom (Army), I'm starting to realize what I was missing out. I'm glad I got into BTS for many reasons, I wouldn't want to bother anyone with the reasons but I do recommend listening. Sabreena, I can also relate in the sense that I thought it was all a bit too excessive.

When I was introduced to K-pop by some friends, back in 2014, I actually thought that it was a bit annoying, and I also felt quite uncomfortable by the shipping. I never ended up being a big fan of K-pop, but I always try to listen to something new of the genre that calls my attention. I think BTS is a really great group, and I wish I could dance like them.
