I have used both and I have to go with Mac. I love Windows but it has so many glitches. It is also slower. I now understand why Mac cost so much. Mac is harder to use and I hate the connections but it is kind of worth it. If i had the money I would buy another one but for now I will stick with my Windows. I also hate how fast the chargers break and how much they cost to buy. Apple needs to work on that at least.

For gaming alone I would recommend Windows for sure because I am a gamer. I used to use a Mac for gaming but it was a huge hassle - many games don't run under Mac or run sub-par, and I'd have to use Windows anyway on my Mac to play the games. There were other benefits to the Apple system (I found it much cleaner and easier to use than windows for research and studying), but for gaming Windows>Apple. Streaming videos isn't really a problem for either - that typically just comes down to your internet speed and hardware rather than the software you run.

Mac is a better operating system than Windows, simply because, it has better design and is robust. Mac, however, supports limited applications while Windows tends to every computing need on the planet. As Windows supports most of the applications, its APIs (Application programming interfaces) are rendered unstable and the OS crashes often.

I don't know, but if Mac has supported as many applications as Windows, it would have met the same fate. I'd personally like to go with Windows as it gets the job done.

I prefer windows myself. I had borrowed one of my friends MacBook for 6 months until I had worked for the money to get me a new laptop. I didn't like my friend's laptop, I was using it for school online. When I need to download software for school her MacBook wouldn't let me. When I finally got the money to get my laptop, I was happy, and of course I bout myself a Windows laptop.

I prefer windows. In fact I never used mac because I never had a chance. People who use the Mac operating system say it is very good ... but I think the windows also is evolving towards being more and more stable, faster and with fewer bugs.
What do I always choose the windows is the question of price, especially the hardware ...

I've been using computers for many, many years and choose Windows because of the ability to customize. Since everything on a Mac is proprietary it makes the Mac both more expensive and harder to tweak than a Windows-based PC. As an example, I can't just upgrade the communications card on a Mac, but I sure can on a Windows-based PC.

I do believe a Windows-based PC requires a user to be more attentive and do more housekeeping than a Mac. But I like to control my system, and that's just part of it.

I would definitely say that Windows Operating System is much better than Macintosh Operating System. Windows often upgrade its operating system comparing to Macintosh. It is true that you can do almost the same things if both of the operating systems, but you will notice that if you want to edit video on a windows based PC that doesn't have the minimum hardware requirements to run a powerful editing software.

I'm using a Windows Operating System. I never used Mac OS, but I have seen it before. I choose Windows over Mac because it's the OS that I used from the beginning and I'm really familiar with it. Also, I think it's easier to use Windows OS than Mac OS because there are many applications for Windows.

I'm a heavy gamer, so I'll always go with Windows OS without thinking twice. I think that the Mac OS interface isn't attractive as the Windows interface. Actually, Windows has an amazing and beautiful interface and Mac can't even compete with it.

I love windows because it is very easy to use and you have the option to make it completely your own style. I never had a Macbook but I heared a lot of feedback.
The graphics interface of a Mac is a lot way different from Windows. It is a decent operating system as I am reading users feedback but it is not easy to understand. Go for what you want.

I use Windows at work because I have to. I use Mac at home because I want to. Once I got used to the mouse gestures and multiple desktops I have found it hard to work without them. Program installation and removal is usually a breeze, and the Unix underpinnings satisfy my inner geek by allowing me to use tools that I became familier with in the world of Linux.

Oh, and viruses and malware for Mac are hard to find in the wild.

I for one incline toward the MacBook - I think it is flawlessly planned, I very much want the way Mac OS attempts to Windows, extraordinary execution & representation and I adore the inherent iLife highlight (iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand, iChat and so on.) however they are extremely pricey and, by the sound of it, you don't generally require a Mac to accomplish what you need out of a PC. They are better, quicker, more dependable, greener, and have no virus threats. Macintosh keep going for quite a long time. I no somebody that has a 10 year old macintosh that still works.

I love Mac better. The fact that I am able to run windows on a Mac platform alone is the main selling point for me. Windows I believe dominated the 90's when everyone was getting accustomed to using a PC and has been the ABC's or default Operating System, but I can argue that Macs are easier to use and provide better support.

I really prefer Windows because of the games. Lots of big name game franchises have ports that work on Mac, and yes since the move to Intel there is no inherent reason for Macs not to run demanding games. You can also access Steam from a Mac, so this is the golden age of Mac gaming. And it is not good.

There are infinitely more games available for Windows PC, from casual games up to the biggest, baddest games on the planet. And you'll pay for the privilege of playing those relatively few games the Mac supports: you could get a decent Windows gaming rig for the cost of a Mac mini - and with onboard graphics the mini is useless for playing all but the simplest games.

    Hi,

I would rather have Windows, I have both a Mac and PC and I like Windows a lot more, Mac is a lot more complicated and is very limited and their support is not very good although Microsoft's support is not that good either but because there are more people that have Windows you can solve any issue faster by just researching it.

On the other hand I like that Mac does not require and antivirus and although I do not trust it completely I really have not had any issues with viruses yet.

After analyzing all the features and usability I have to go with Windows but that would depend which Windows because if it Vista I would rather have a Mac.

    Have a good one.

    for me to use.

I prefer Windows Operating System because that is familiar with me. I used to learn and use computer with Windows 95 Operating System when I was young. Until now I still use Windows 7 but I would like to try on Macintosh Operating System someday.

I absolutely love Mac but I would have to say Windows because for one it's cheaper, easier to fix and I can find more open source software for it than on a Mac e.g. screen recorders. Also its due to the fact that I grew up on the Windows OS so its kinda hard to make the change.

It really depends on why you are using it and what easier for you. A Mac is better for music production and designing applications. A Windows machine is more universal for the average user. I have had both and depending on what I am using it for I like both the same.
