Hi guys, just wanted to know how many people actually enjoy or enjoyed their time at school (or college). I know that this current society demands more from the hard-working students in various educational institutions, and thus I was pondering on the implications that more hours could be on the agenda for schools across the UK! The fact that there is enough pressure exerted on kids these days is bad enough, but the fact that jobs are so hard to come across makes the problem of school more dramatic. If people don't achieve the appropriate grades for a comfortable £60,000-annually job, they become inherent to bills, debts and a worse life.

So why does school seem like such a big part in our lives, if not the biggest? Well, I believe we live in an ages where you either love(d) it or hate(d) it. Simple.

This is a popular discussion where I am from and I tend to lean towards the "loved it" side. Prior to me leaving school I always felt like school was a hassle and it was time for me to get paid. Now engaged with the working force, I would easily trade those fun school days of no bills or work stress for those summer vacations.

Honestly ill say back then I loved it but no I hate it only because the stuff they are teaching kids like high school is not worth two cents, they are teaching kids that there is no right or wrong answer. No right or wrong answer so how are you suppose to learn then, well that's the whole purpose of this new aged teaching; its meant to keep the next generation controlled knowledge is power an if you don't have it you have know power period. Again there is another goal here as far as now teaching kids the correct way of learning an that's reasoning. If you cant see something is bad as in the wrong way of doing things then a lot more crime, killing etc will result in future generations all because the school doesn't teach them whats right or wrong, I hope to have provided useful info.

I loved school when I was there, but my daughter hates the thought of school. She's been homeschooled all her life and thinks of school as "jail." I don't blame her since the schools today are all working on creating little robots. I know some people wouldn't agree with me there, but that's just what my opinions are based on the schools that are around me. I don't know if this is true of all schools, but based on what Stephen said, I'm glad I homeschool.

I used to love going to school and here is the number 1 reason: I could spend time with my friends. I sometimes hated the homework, or how short the recess felt. I didn't like the fact that we could not talk while the teacher was talking ( haha) . For me it was a great experience, and learned a lot of things that were useful to me in college. I had great teachers so learning was not an issue. I would usually get in trouble, but that is how i learned to be obedient or to follow instructions. In the end, i think going to school is a great opportunity to learn and prepare for the outside world... if we talk about college.. well. that is another story!

I loved going to school especially during my high school years. Academically, I was an achiever and always included in the Cream of the Crop list. I studied very hard because I wanted to make my parents very proud of me.

Also, when I started schooling, I have learned to enjoy joining a lot of school clubs and other extra curricular activities. Because of these, I have developed self-confidence and sense of leadership in myself.

I absolutely loved it. That is the place where I learned my life. School is the place where I got a strong foundation to build my life on. Apart from that, I learned so many things from it and that is the place where I got most of my dearest friends. So without a doubt, I enjoyed my life in school and I miss it so much.

During my elementary years, I hated school simply because I wanted to play games. I remember so very well when I used to throw a tantrum at my father who just brought me to school. In time, however, I learned to appreciate school, but it started to go downhill again when I entered law school. In retrospect, I hated law school. Though I graduated with a law degree, I realized that law wasn't for me, so my years of studying law were all for nothing. As of right now though, I have learned to like school now that I am an incoming government employee. If you really want to progress in this world, you really need a decent education. Just recently I completed my studies in elementary Japanese, as well as completed a seminar on accounting.

Is this an issue? I think majority or 99% of us here will vote for LOVE IT. We are all being molded at school. School is our second home and we spend most of our time at school and with our friends and classmates. I really love going to school though, in intermediate level I think there was a competition already but the bonding time was so great.

@veejay- Did you mean "bored"? I don't think so dude. Being bored is usually experienced at office or outside school where you can't be with your friends anymore. I even planning to proceed next year for another major and that will be Theology. But I am still on planning stage, 50% decided.

I hated school from my soul. For me school was like a hell hole in which I had to spend 8 hours for 6 days a week. I just waited for school to be over right from the second it started, if I had a choice I would have ran away from my school as far as possible.

Now I am not sure if this feeling was because of my school being bad( which I doubt because everyone else seemed to enjoy it) or was it just me on a personal level, either way I hated school.
