Are we ignoring technology?

Today I was lying on my bed and beside me there are many of my books lying around because I study on my bed during the night. I suddenly noticed my scientific calculator lying there and a thought crossed my mind. Do we really appreciate Technology as much as we should do? It has become so much embedded in our daily life that we tend to take it for granted and Technology has made our lives so much more easier. Take this calculator for an example, it does the same calculation in milliseconds which if I started to do with the pen and paper will take more than an hour.

 

Hi Bilalgul! I don't think we're ignoring technology. In fact, it is being used by everyone right now to connect with everyone else in this pandemic. It's also being used to find a cure for the COVID-19 virus right now. You probably meant people are taking it for granted. I somehow agree with you as people sometimes become lazier and just rely on technologies to do the work. On another thought, isn't this the purpose of technology though? It's to make our lives easier for comfort. This is why we rely on research to discover new technologies that could benefit the society.
