How did it get to this point? Something that is clearly against Christian belief is being practiced by some Christians. What do you think were the mistakes by past generations that eventually lead their children to this?

Simple answer? Sanity, love, and acceptance - if that's what's considered mistakes. I can't say there were any specific "mistakes" that led to our children reaching this point.

It's been proven multiple times through Jesus's teachings that we should love our neighbors no matter who they are and no matter how God has created them. It's 2020. We're aware that being gay isn't a choice - it's something God has created us - and science has proved this over and over. Thankfully, many Christians are picking up and realizing hatred is never the way to win so it's led to more acceptance and same-sex marriages at Churches. Hooray (or hoorgay, I guess you could say) for acceptance!

I am curious to know why you believe our past generation has made mistakes that led to this. Could you clarify this some more? I think it's a blessing that our children have learned that love and acceptance is far more powerful than hatred, so if anything, I think our generation is going far. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Do u remember that guy in the bible that was sleeping with his step mother? Apostle Paul's recommendation was not for the church to keep loving him. Rather, to cast him out of the church and hand him over to Satan, for the destruction of the body and hopefully, to save his soul. Love does not mean to tolerate and allow sin. Rather it has to do with correcting, encouraging and rebuking sinners. Sinners are on their way to hell, it is love that will drive you to save them.
    .
So, homosexuality is against God's definition of marriage and it is unnatural desire. Science is somehow under Satan's control and thus, it can be manipulated to promote Satan's ideologies. Same sex marriage in the church is a taboo. Remember we're in the end time when evil will be on the increase.

You will have to quote what part of the Bible is that since I am not aware of it (I was raised in a Muslim family - not Christian). I am confused on how it relates to homosexuality if he slept with his stepmother? That's a male-female relationship going on. Maybe I'm missing something there though.

That being said, Jesus was pretty clear on accepting God's creation the way it was created. See Matthew 19 and Mark 10. I also think it should be noted that many scriptures and verses of the past been rewritten and revised all over again. Because of this, it has led to some people cherry-picking different verses and story, using them to their own advantage on what they feel is wrong. The word "homosexuality" was a never a term used in biblical or religious contexts because there was no foundation of that back then. It's a word that eventually received backlash in the 90s when it became more acknowledged. That's when homosexuality and religion clashed together; people weren't happy seeing same-sex relationships being a thing and needed to find a way to pull people away from it.

"Same sex marriage in the church is a taboo. Remember we're in the end time when evil will be on the increase." - Same-sex marriage is not a new thing. The only reason why people are recognizing it more now is because we've reached an area where we're not afraid to express who are. There have been same-sex marriages in churches way before this century, just more silent and reserved. Now that people are realizing love is not a choice, it's gotten more support and acceptance.

Although since you did mention science being under Satan's control, I don't think we'll really see eye-to-eye here sadly. When I mentioned science, I was referring to the numerous studies that showed humans not being able to choose who they love, and studies that showed that there are even homosexual animals. The only reason we recognize it more is because we're in a generation where we can study, research, and learn more than ever before. That's an incredible thing and a blessing from God.

Most Christians will recognize that God has created science and controlled it Himself. Without it, most of us would be dead by now. If we continue to push back on what He has created, we're the true sinners here - not whoever we point fingers at.

I'm a little disappointed at this reply because I was hoping you'd acknowledge your claim on science being Satan-controlled when God made it Himself. I also didn't say Matthew 18, I said Matthew 19. I'll list few verses from the chapter below, nonetheless. I also opened the link you sent me and noticed the organization supports conversion therapy, and that many modern-day Christians oppose this organization. I did some more digging to understand them better and found this:

True freedom Trust was founded in 1977 by Anglican clergyman Canon L. Roy Barker and Martin Hallett, a man who had been "involved in a homosexual lifestyle" for nine years.[2] Canon Barker died in 2004, and the organisation was led by Martin Hallett until his retirement in 2009.

Yep, from the 90s, once again. Like I said earlier, there was no specific definition or understanding of homosexuality in the bible and many of the opposing organizations formed groups like such in this era. It only began to get more recognition in this time period because people did not support seeing same-sex couples together since it seemed like such an atrocious act despite it being a common thing far before then. I don't think I'm going to take an organization seriously if its goal is striving to turn people into something they're not. That's not what God wants from any of us since He made us in His own image.

Genesis 1:26: “Let us create humankind in our image.”
In the Bible’s creation story, God makes clear that, out of all of creation, human beings are created in God’s image. That God is referred to in the plural in this passage could even suggest the idea of God containing a diversity of identities within God’s own mysterious and infinite self. The assurance that all human beings are created in God’s image reminds us from the get-go that everyone is a sacred creation, and that God’s image is broader than our own experience and understanding. Someone may look — or love — differently than you do, and still, simply by being a human, reflect the image of God.

Matthew 15:21-28: “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ ”

This story in Matthew’s Gospel details Jesus’ encounter with a Canaanite woman. Her nationality makes her an outsider, and on this basis even Jesus rejects her when she comes seeking his help for her daughter. But the Canaanite woman challenges Jesus on his refusal, and Jesus praises her faith and heals her daughter after all. This story demonstrates that God’s love is so expansive, it can surprise and stretch even Jesus Christ himself. It encourages Christians to be mindful of our own prejudices and understand that God’s love isn’t as restrictive as our own.

Matthew 22:37-40: “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

Matthew addresses the great number of Jewish laws and prophetic teachings — including those that many consider to condemn homosexuality — by making clear that the overarching command of a faithful life is love: love of God, and love of neighbor. This command to love underpins any and all other commands. And so, pursuit of law-abiding faithfulness that does not first root itself in love fails to understand the true purpose of the law and the true call of faith.

I browse with a phone and I have limited time and power supply. So I may not reply you the way you'll like.
    .
When I say that Satan controls science, I mean that since Satan is the "prince of this world", he can use science to promote his ideologies. The fact that someone tend towards homo or lesbi doesn't make it normal. The bible calls it unnatural desires. Demon possession is also responsible for that. The best thing such people should do is to come to Christ and he would set them free. There are many such testimonies.
    .
God that created mankind is telling mankind that homosexuality and lesbianism is bad. Did you missed the passages? See below:
    .
    1 Cor 6:9
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous 2 will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:
x neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

“From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh…” (Mark 10:6-8, quoting Genesis 2:24).

    Lev 18:22
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

    Lev 20:13
"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."

    ROM 1:26-27
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
    .
But unfortunately, Satan, through his followers, have bastardized the true meaning of bible passages. Only those that want to be deceived will be deceived.
    .
Talking about love. If you love sinners you will tell them to repent from their sin and escape God's anger that is coming soon. If you keep mute you don't love. And you tend to forget that different people have different interpretation of love. To many, love is lust.
    .
Every one is created in God's image. But you forgot that, that image have been corrupted by Satan and Christ came to restore that image. "Turn away from your sins for the kingdom of God is at hand"/

It seems you are set on believing the passages you believe them, just like I am with how I see them. We can at least agree that we should respect those who are LGBT+ and are religious, yeah?

I believe that we should accept them. We are just humans and we cannot judge them. If they are going to choose between their situation rather just being naturally born of what they like to be who they are, would they choose the situation they are facing now? I hate when I see discrimination towards them. They also hate of being a gay or a lesbian, infact they wish to become normal. Ofcourse we should not blame the past generation about this, we cannot control what they want and what they like. It is only God can judge them, so by just being a human can we just support and accept them? They need acceptance and support.

Been off power for a while.

I still maintain my stand. I am not being harsh against anybody or discriminating. But out of love, I want to see gays and lesbians repent and escape God's judgement that is coming upon the world. Sin is sin and God's standard won't change because of this generation. The support they need is the truth that will make them to accept Christ and Christ will give them the power to overcome.
    .
I think past generations should be blamed because you will blame and judge parents if they fail in their responsibility. Likewise, you will blame and judge the government if she fails in her responsibility.
    .
To tell you the truth, supporting and accepting sinners by ignoring their sins is not the solution. The bible tells us to have nothing to do with evil, rather we should expose evil. Bible also says that a little leaven will cause the whole flour to rise. This means that a few sinners among Christians will corrupt others. Those gays and lesbians will lure other members into the act. I have heard stories of people who became gay after being raped by a gay.
    .
It pains my heart when I see how far churches have fallen. Before it was immodest dresses in the church. That have become normal and widely accepted. Now it is gay and lesbians. Who knows what will be next?
    .
Eph 5:11:Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.

You cannot blame someone for being born as something they can't even choose. There are countless studies that have shown that being gay isn't a choice and most likely caused by something in genetic pairings. Blame our generation all you want, but welcome to reality. There have been gay people for years. There is nothing to "repent" from. This is the way they were created. And it saddens me that this is the mindset you have about them.

"I have heard stories of people who became gay after being raped by a gay." Just like a person turns straight after being raped by a straight, huh? False statement and a common myth of gay people. Rape is traumatizing enough that people don't even think of having same-gender sex after being attacked. Please be careful what you say. Rape doesn't connect with being gay at all and illogical statements like this only hurt people, gay or not.

When somebody is born abnormal, should he/she remain abnormal? By abnormal I mean deaf, dumb, lame, blind, cojoin etc. Jesus healed all sort of abnormality during his time. So rather than legalise and encourage same sex marriage, we should help them to become normal. Also, bringing same sex marriage into the church is an attack against the church.
    .
When I said that some people became gay after being raped by gay, I was trying to say that there is demonic .... Low battery!

Sorry I've been quite busy. So to complete my post above, I was trying to say that being gay is not solely a natural thing. Demonic influence is involve in some cases. When Jesus healed the deaf, dumb etc, he sometimes did that by casting out demons. But in some cases, demons were not responsible, like the case of that man who was born blind in John 9:2.
