One may define evolution as the process by which different kinds of living organism are believed to have developed from earlier forms during the history of the earth. Others may say evolution is the gradual development of something. Both definitions point to the fact that higher organisms develops gradually from lower ones. That is to say higher animal like Mammal (Man) is believed to have developed gradually over years from lower organism say Pisces (Fishes).

Evidence of evolution shows that from the lower vertebrate to the higher one, that is; Pisces (Fishes), Reptiles (Lizards, Snakes etc), Aves (Birds) and Mammals (Man) developed in an evolutionary trend. By assumptions Man evolves from the organism closer to it. Or within the Mammals group, for instance Apes and others. Evidences of evolution show that Man and Apes have almost 98% DNA that is alike.
    What is your view?

Evolution was just a make up story by Charles Darwin who described it as is the evolutionary process that led to the emergence of anatomically modern humans beginning with the evolutionary history of primates – in particular genus Homo– and leading to the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species of the hominid family, the great apes. This process involved the gradual development of traits such as human bipedalism and language.
For my view, God created everything in the world. I go against the scientific beliefs that Darwin made people believe.

If by evolution we mean the progress from one created thing to the next created one, then there is really an evolution. I say this because evolution if taken out of its context is really nothing - at most, and absurd, at the very least.

Before we go into human evolution, let's try a not-so-remote example like the evolution of the Benz car.

If we will look at the present crop of cars, that are running at 200mph, sleek and fashionable, and pricey, these cars we can safely say evolved from the first car proto types of Daimler and Benz or the Model T Ford.

We will notice that the Daimler-Benz car was a three-wheeled thing and runs at a max of 10 mph when it was first introduced in 1886.

    car benz.jpg

Let us fast track ourselves to the present time and see how a new Benz CLR compares with its top speed of 240 kph.

    benz race.jpg

Surely, we can safely assume that the Benz has really evolved from a slow and bicycle-looking one into a fast and classy-looking sports car.

But for one to say that these cars only evolved, less the creator part, makes the whole thing preposterous. Both of these cars were created by the Benzes. It didn't just appear by a conflagration of the elements inside the universe of a german garage but was carefully designed, crafted, and created by a creator.

Going back to the theory of evolution big time, to say that all these stars and planets just appeared because of hydrogen , again begs the question: Where did this hydrogen come from?

The creation story includes the evolution thing and not the other way around. Someone created us in the same manner that some persons among us, whose names were Daimler and Benz created one of the best and fastest cars on the planet, that evolved in time.

Creation affirms our personhood, our abilities, and our dignity as human beings. We are, in fact, the only creation that God himself has bestowed his divine powers of being able to create and continue his creation.

Evolution cannot explain two fundamental things:
    a) How did life originate from non-life in the first place? There was a big bang. What exactly went "bang"? Where did the matter come from for the big bang? And how did lifeless matter produce life anyway? Where did life come from?

    b) If everything evolves into more complex (and presumably more advanced) life forms, why is it ultimately programmed to die anyway?
Why are the so-called more complex and advanced life forms just as prone to death as the more simple ones?
What's the point of evolution if it inevitably still leads to death anyway?

These are just two of the problems with evolution, but I believe they are the ones that illustrate that it's a man-made attack on the Creator.

Hello Pinocchio! I found your post intriguing for a couple of reasons. First, because you seem to find evolution and creationism to be mutually exclusive. Personally, I believe a God created life with a plan for it to evolve over time. And second, because you ask questions about evolution that apply to religion as well.

Life originated from a God, or gods, or an energy or spirit or some kind of being higher than us. I cannot tell you how, no one can, without using religion. Whatever you choose to believe, though, you can ask the question "But how did that come into being?" And that is a question I cannot answer.

Evolution tries to extend our lifespan, not necessarily make it endless. Again, a similar question can be asked about God (assuming we're going with the traditional Christian view from the Bible): if Earth is just a test, why allow humans to sin in the first place? Did God want us to prove that we love him? And if so, why does an almighty God need proof that lowly sinning humans love him?

All in all, I think it's pointless to try and understand life. Quite simply, you can't. There is no way to know what our 'true' purpose is; rather, focus on creating or finding one yourself, and making this world the best place possible. Either you'll get your rewards in heaven, or you'll have made your experience (and others) the best it could be.

Yes, that's the whole point. I think us humans should just accept that there are questions we simply cannot answer. In other words, like it or not, we have a limit. Evolution is a man made way of trying to surpass this limit by not accepting that it exists. To justify this we call it "science". But then, we have to ask "Hang on, isn't science supposed to provide proof?" Does the fact that A and B have similar DNA prove that one evolved into another? Or is it just our assumption, based on our inability to accept our limits? Ultimately, I have to conclude that evolution is no more than a belief system too.

That's a very good way of putting it! Evolution definitely requires just as much belief as religion. While all the evidence we have points to the fact that it exists, the fossils we have that "prove" it could just as easily been planted there by a higher being to give us something to wonder about.

This reminds me of the "Last Tuesday" hypothetical situation. It states that we are in a simulation that was created last Tuesday, but that we have artificial memories implanted that last our entire supposed lifetime. There is no good way to refute this theory, because while you have memories from before last Tuesday, you have no way of proving that they you weren't simply created with them already in your head. You cannot prove that you actually experienced anything, because you only have access to your memories and the materials in this world, both of which could have theoretically been fabricated. Some interesting stuff, although a bit scary to think about sometimes. I just remind myself that even if nothing is real, my feelings are something I experience, and I have quite a few good ones when I think about my life at this moment in time.

This is a debate that has been carried on for hundreds of years, if not more. I am not religious myself, and believe what I see proof of.

We have evidence to support evolution. Fossile records, rock layer analyses, calculation of tectonic plate activity, etc. All of these things let us see how, even extinct animals may have gotten where they are, and they also let us see how some of the exact same species can be on multiple continents despite not being able to swim or fly between them.

As a person who is non-religious, I do not believe in creationism. However, what I don't understand is why those who do seem to think evolution is bogus and that the two are mutually exclusive.

Assuming that there is a god and that he is almighty as those who are religious believe, doesn't it stand to reason then that he would have the power to effect the genetic changes that have occurred over billions of years? If you're religious, you could say that evolution is real but that god had a hand in causing it.

That is, of course, not what I believe, but it just doesn't make sense for them to be mutually exclusive when there is some overlap. The truth is we do not know with absolute certainty what happened. For all we know god could really be some powerful alien and Earth is just a big experiment they started to see how life would evolve if they manipulated our DNA in certain ways. I don't believe that either, but the fact is that we don't know.

Although the Theory of Evolution challenges every analytic mind, it makes me wonder why the other species under the evolution umbrella still exist as the same creatures. Say for example, why would apes cease to evolve and are still present until today? If evolution is true, why did it stop at humans and not further evolved into a higher species? Given the fact that there are so many environmental factors that can trigger the need for another tier of evolution, why there isn't? That's the main reason the species evolved in the first place right, the need to adapt to the environment? I would rather believe in the chicken and egg paradox, where it was proven by scientists themselves that the chicken came first before the egg because the shell can only be formed inside a chicken. Yay for creationists on this argument.

I believe god created evolution. In the Bible god created the earth in 7 days. What if those were millions of years but in gods eyes were only 7 days. The Big Bang was when two particles came together and exploded. What put those there in the first place so that they could explode? After that, when earth finally came about, that’s when the first cells showed up. What put those first cells there? What made the air so we could breathe?

I believe god created the system of evolution. It wouldn’t make sense any other way. Animals didn’t just show up. Things had to evolve from a single celled organism and go up from there. To god that was 7 days, to us that was millions of years.

Science tries to explain the existence of everything over and under the sun. Their theories may be right or wrong but if we do not have a proper way to explain them, we just belatedly agree with them.

The evolution story does not hold any water. Darwin just looked for a way to explain the existence of man and we bought into the story. DNA or no DNA but apes cannot evolve into man. The earlier man might have been uncivilized and lived like an animal yet he was just man and not ape.

I agree with your argument here. However, what I disagree is man evolving from an ape. He may have been ape-like but he was a human. This is because he lived in the cold and had no proper clothing. He may have become hairy like an ape but was human.

The present day apes are not evolving to humans because they are apes.

Evolution DOES exist. Let's leave it at that. Religious people can have their beliefs that whatever they believe in created the universe, but all I can think about is, for example, the human eye. Our eyes are pretty inefficient. The design itself is flawed. If an omnipotent being created humans, why would they make that mistake. Another example, vestigial, or practically useless, organs, like the appendix and the tail bone in humans. Why have these organs and structures if they serve no purpose to the body?

What if God was part of a species that had evolved from another planet deep in space. Perhaps the 'big bang' was the result of some advanced particle collider. Perhaps God is part of a species that can engineer life and I don't mean humans. Maybe there is a different species out there that created us and are laughing at us because we think we are 'evolved'

I myself do believe in evolution and the reason we haven't found all the 'links' to our ancestry is that fossils have been destroyed by the movement of earth. If there was no evolution as such then why do we have similarities in bone structure to animals? Obviously not birds and humans will never be able to sprout wings (disappointingly)

I love many replies here. I love science, but when it comes to this evolution I see it as crap. I thought science is base on proofs? Let them stop story telling and prove it.

I respect your ideas, but I do firmly believe in evolution. As a matter of fact, evolution is not only observable in advanced organisms like apes and humans. A very simple example of evolution in nature that many people fail to comprehend is the development of pesticide resistance, herbicide resistance, and antibiotic resistance. Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection, explains that organisms slowly change to suit their environmental situations. When you repeatedly use the same type of pesticide, the pests will eventually develop resistance against it. This is one basic example of evolution.

Yes 100% but the difference can't be noticed in a decade, since it takes thousands and millions of years.
