Its obvious social media made a big effect in our life.

Some people are totally addicted to them, they cant live anymore without check your phone every 5 minutes or post their last photo.

Some people really like be connected to people who are living very far away, but some people prefer to chat with their friends than meet with them in real.

Personally I like specially Facebook, for example the events system, its really interesting to check which events are coming near you, how many people is going... I think its a positive thing.
But also I think Facebook is destroying life to people, and Instagram, girls want to be Instagramer instead being doctors.

What do you think? Social media for good or for bad?

Social media platforms are powerful tools that can work for or against you. Personally, I have used Facebook to market my business and it changed for the better. I can now reach a wider audience and get more sales. It is not just Facebook, but also other platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and much more. We cannot, however, avoid some bad apples. There are those who have been bullied online, so expect each person to have a different experience with social media.

I think social media has it's extreme positives and extreme negatives. It's difficult to either hate it or love it. I love social media for that I can keep in touch with my grandparents overseas and keep in touch with friends who live in different states and countries. However, I also hate social media for that it has made this generation less in touch with people in their real lives. I think that social media can take too much away from our present and can distract us when we really need to appreciate what's there right in front of us.

Although I agree social media does have many negative impacts on us, such as trolling behaviour, obsessions and oversharing. Just for a minute think of what your lockdown would be like without having a connection through social media to your friends, support groups and work colleagues.
Social media has had such a positive impact on our lives this year. I believe we need to remember to not take this for granted in the future.

I think, when used properly, social media is a beautiful tool that allows for us to communicate and share across long distance. It also lessens the gap between people that might have never had the opportunity to come in contact with each other otherswise.

On the other hand, there is a culture that has now been established that says that "Your opinions are the most important," or "Your thoughts deserve praise and recognition at all times," or "If you don't have x amount of followers or likes or comments, you are not loved." These damaging mentalities are what have also sprung from social media culture. Oversharing is a simplified term for what our youth have come to see as appropriate behavior-essentially posting their journals on the internet. Opinion pieces have become so narrow-minded that they no longer ask for discussion, but dare for someone to disagreed with them so that they may be publicly shouted down.

There is a lack of "minding one's own business" that has become utterly prevalent thanks to social media, and it is not necessarily all to the good.

It's true if the social media is use properly then its a better place to socialize with our family and freinds, thou I know some people abuse this plartform by posting what they don't seems to be posting like adult content, this seems to abuse the plartform, social media can help you get in touch with someone that stay far away from you instead of waiting for a day or two for the long written pepper-letter to arrive your door step, with social media this can be done within few minute and you can also let your freinds know the life-style you are living by posting details of your location and your activity.

Social media is one of the best place which we can use to share our experience and communicate with our freinds and relative,I can never agree that social media has any harmful effect in the live of any individual, many people uses social media this days to advertise their service and make money from any traffic that they generate so social media has positive impact that can create development in the live of people

I love these 'no internet' and 'staying off of social media' posts since this is literally on my mind 24/7. It feels like in today's world, we pretty much live on the internet. Pretty much everyone is accessible. It seems like so many teenagers and young adults would rather text someone than interact face to face. Social media can be useful for communication (especially during this global pandemic). It can just as easily be abused as a way for cyber bullying and stalking. Plus, it does play a part in mental health for millennials and older gen z. When drama goes down, Facebook is always where it happens.
