I'm looking for programming languages that are easy to learn for noobs. I took website design in college, but ended up dropping out after a year. So my knowledge is fairly limited.

I would like to start small and work my way up to something bigger. I'm thinking just website design for now, but I would like maybe produce apps and maybe even games down the road.

    Any suggestions?

Hey there Bremaine! I am also a programming novice too.
The first thing to do when it comes to programming is to decide whether to do the front-end or back-end type of work. Given that you've already done some front end programming and design, I would highly recommend you try the exact opposite — maybe you become more fond of it! If you decide to try back-end, try Python. It's quite easy to pick up and it has lots of real life uses, which will give you confidence and satisfaction to pursuit more programming. If you wish to stay on front-end I recommend you pick up some skills with jquery and bootstrap.
Hope you found some of this useful!

Hey Bremaine!! as you asked which programming language you should go for as you are beginner and want to start with web designing then you should go for HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT. these are the most common language which are used for web designing. And after that you can opt for ASP.NET or PHP for back-end programming to make your website more useful and intellectual....
Hope you will find my information useful.

First, I would suggest you really take some time to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This will get you well on your way to web development. Then I would choose a web library/framework to learn. (Something like React, Vue, Angular, etc; It might be worth your time to look at Bootstrap, even though it is slowly being fazed out, it is still useful for now) Then, going for backend, it doesn't really matter. Most modern programming languages have the capability to build some sort of backend web technology.

HTML is basically one of the easiest programming languages to learn, it only took me about 2 or 3 weeks to get confident in it, also, referring to your question, it is the most common language for websites and web apps.
