It is my desire to become more disciplined when it comes to my devotion time with God. I want to be closer to Him. Hear His voice more clearly. So in order to do so, I feel it is important to me to spend significant time with Him.

Does anybody have daily quiet time or devotion? If so, what are your practices? Do you set a specific time each day? What keeps you focused? Are you the type to listen to music first or just sing Him a song? Do you actually sit quietly and wait for him to speak or do you just do all the talking? Do you read or study the Bible at the same time?

    What are your practices?

When I have a free moment, I like to read and pray through the Daily Office (I'm an Anglican) at dailyoffice2019.com and it helps me study the Bible and clear my mind for God to enter in. They have Morning/Afternoon/Evening and Compline, so you can pray up to four times per day.

For me, I like to read through the prayers and readings aloud and always, ALWAYS, make time for prayer. Prayer is the best way we can talk to God and I try to set aside a few minutes to talk to Him each day. It's hard a mother, but that's what nap times are for.

For me devotion is the most important thing because it is communicating with God. What I do I read the word of God every morning.
What I have practiced is a systematic way where I read a chapter a day and pray for God to lead Me through that chapter

This will work effectively if You let the Lord work in You through the Holy Spirit.
