We all know that sometimes our thoughts, stress, insomnia, etc... can interrupt our sleep. If you're done with pills, stay reading, I'll be giving you some amazing plant based teas that will save your sweet dreams. The first one is:
Ginger and Tumeric tea, it will become your sleeping aid.
Lemon Balm tea, great way to fall asleep and feel relaxed.
Lavender, it will take you to another world.
You can make all of them sweeter with some honey, have a great night.

The biggest thing people can do to improve sleep is drop the tech at least an hour before bed. I'm not even going into that business about light and how it affects our eyes and sleep cycles, what I think matters more is that we need to decompress and quieten things down before we even get in bed. If making some non-caffeinated tea is a ritual that helps get folks to that point, power to them.

We need rituals, especially. Laying in bed for any other reason than sleep is a bad thing, it trains your brain to equate laying in bed to reading or watching TV or whatever it is people do in bed. When you get in bed, it should be for bed. Try and reduce ambient light as much as possible and if you need noise use a fan or some kind of white noise rather than the radio or television.

It's forming the ritual that helps more than anything. Except, of course, when there's actual medical issues involved. I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, so if you're the kind that needs medical intervention I doubt any amount of tea or ritual changing is going to help.
