why are most songs a bout love?

the most songs are love songs does that mean that no other topic can be used to sing about?

 

Love is one thing that concerns everybody no matter the age. I wont agree that most songs are about love, I think songs are about money, wealth and sex these days.

 

The best selling songs are about love because it is something that many people can relate to. Everyone has had "that" relationship or remembers a time they felt happy.
I hate love songs though. I would rather listen to songs that talk about war, believing in yourself, the struggle, etc.

 

Because just like sex sells love sells. There are 3-year-olds in love everyone has been in love. The music industry has to try to appeal to everyone and that happens to be one of the best topics.

 

I guess it depends of what kind of music you listening
I dont listen much love songs

 

Love is the best topic for music in my opinion. What more do people want than genuine love and companionship? Money? I'd take true love over riches any day of the week.

 

Love, unlike other things, can apply to anyone. Anyone can fall in love, in fact, everyone has already fallen in love. Most people can easily relate to this topic, which is why it is always the topic in songs. Among other topics, it is also the easiest to express and the emotions that the song relays naturally comes out.

 

Musicians sing about love because love is the most intense human feeling. Love is intense, unexaplainable and also elicits a good feeling.

 

It's an easy way to get people to listen to the song because love is so universal, even if it isn't romantic.

 

It's something everyone can relate to. Usually, if it's the good part of love, it tends to be very romantic to write and sing a song about someone that you love. Writing songs or just writing in general is a way for many people to express their feelings.

 

I'm with you there! Love is such an intricate emotion and there are so many varieties to be experienced. The best thing is when you finally meet that person who is the love of your life and you just...know. Money is temporary; true love lasts an eternity.

 

Love is something most people can relate with or dream about. While there are songs about getting rich or making it out of the streets, there are people who cannot relate. People can listen to a love song and reminisce about the good times when they were in love, relate to being in love, or hope to be in love. One thing to take into account is the genre of music you are listening to. For rap songs, I'd say most songs are about money, lust, and violence, though they do have the occasional love songs.

 

I'd say it's because of all of our emotions, love and hate tends to be the strongest. And hate is plenty of times derived from love (break ups, cheating, etc.). So if a song helps evoke our strong feelings, we'd be more likely to listen to it again. Like for an example I'm not a fan of country music, but I can remember all the words to Carrie Underwood's "Before he cheats" simply because if evokes my anger in a positive way. It made the song memorable even years after it came out.
