Do you believe in destiny? This is a question that many people debates about. Destiny, is it merely a belief for those people who let life just pass them by? For those who just waits for life to happen because of destiny? Or for those people who fights for it? There are also people who remains in the middle, neither believing nor refusing destiny.

Each and everyone of us is entitled to our own beliefs. Your belief is what makes you who you are. As a Christian, I believe in destiny because I know that my life is crafted into the perfect plan of God. His taken into account everything that I do, even the mistakes that I commit. Believing in destiny doesn't mean that you don't work anymore, that you don't fight in your situation now. This is the excuse that most people give when life hits them hard. They would say, "What's the use? I'm destined to be like this." I believe that everyone is destined to be great in our own way. Use the setbacks you experience to push you to realize your great destiny.

I tend to think of destiny as a word we use to simplify a complicated thought process. First, we have to imagine "potential worlds". Each one of them isn't real, but what we think reality could allow. For example, I could be standing up, but I'm sitting down. I'm not standing up to type this, but that wouldn't be very hard to believe. we use these thoughts to predict and shape the world around us into one we prefer.

Destiny is a way to understand the real world after we get caught up making up possibilities. The things that have happened and are happening are the only way they could be. In order to believe that there are other possibilities, we have to imagine ourselves in a time before the event occurred. Then we would have to imagine the event as though it had not happened yet. To claim that something was destiny is to run through this same process, by whatever justification we use, but to say that nothing other than that something would be believable.

I definitely wouldn't say in all cases, but I believe that in many cases we come to the conclusion that a thing is destiny because we confuse the tense of the event. We try to imagine ourselves before it, but with the memory of it having already happened.

If you let yourself dwell to the idea that there is such a thing as “ Destiny” then you’re not only giving yourself false hope but rather an excuse for your actions. I think It only make things more complicated because you allow yourself to believed that there is somehow something for you out there or that the situation you are in right now gives the empression that it is because of the so called “Destiny”.
