I've read all three books as well and to be honest I was not looking forward to the movie. In reality only people who've heard about Fifty Shades of Grey's sex scenes want to watch the movie with extreme interest. People who have read the book, such as ourselves, have interest but it's not over the top. I basically knew the movie was going to be soft porn and there was no need to watch it. I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

Even though Fifty Shades of Grey is not an 'old' movie I do have some suggestions for you if you're willing to watch a couple. I like Cabin in the Sky, The Prince and the Showgirl, Neptune's Daughter, Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Wait Until Dark, Sabrina, Scaramouche, and Cheaper by the Dozen (1950 version) it's way better than the 2003 version.

My favorite old movie is actually a black and white horror classic. Now I know you might expect it to be Frankenstein, or Dracula, but actually it is a film called "The Haunting of Hill House" it came out in 1959 and lacks all the wonderful FX of today's films, but I have to tell you it is very scary. It has actually been remade a couple of times now and although some of the remakes are good, they pale in comparison to the original. I think what makes this film so good is that the fear is implied. You never see an actual ghost or monster, however you certainly get the terror of something there. What is totally up to your imagination. I guess my mind thinks of scary stuff.

My favorite old movie is The Goodbye Girl with Marsha Mason and Richard Dreyfus. It is a wonderful romance/comedy with no sex involved. I have it on VHS and watch it at least once a month. I don't know what I will do with the tape wears our, hopefully, I can find it on Ebay on DVD. I like it because it was a movie I could watch with my kids when they were teenagers.

If we're talking old as in seriously classic, it's Casablanca, hands down. It has danger, intrigue, really great, sharp, funny dialogue (on the part of the Bogart character, especially), and of course, an epic love story. There's just nothing not to love. It's one of those movies that's so good, no one has ever attempted a remake. I hope no one ever does.

Joyce, I always loved that one, too. Actually, I like Simon's stuff, in general. It's all hilarious! Did you know that Neil Simon an Marsha Mason were married?

The Puppet Master is one of my old time favorite movies. I used to watch it when I was ten years old for me at that age, it scared me half to death but I still kept watching it. I loved the whole story line with the puppets they were always mysteries to me, and Batman Returns what I love about this movie is perhaps The Penguin he was such a good character in this movie such a good villain. I think batman is an alright character but it's really the villains that make the movie with their Crime and Murder scenes.

I did not enjoy "Fifty Shades of Grey". I felt that the editing was sloppy and made the movie feel awkward. As for old movies, I tend to stick to Audrey Hepburn. My all-time favorite is "Sabrina". It was probably the first movie I saw of Hepburn and re-watch constantly. My second favorite movie is "How to Steal a Million" because the male lead is just handsome.

Cinema Paradiso is an old italian movie I truly love. You get to see the beautiful Italian landscape and learn about the culture and how people lived in Italy some years ago. The story is heartwarming: you follow around a young boy with a passion for cinema and a spirit too big for the little town he lived in. It's a movie you can see with your whole family as well, I promise everyone will enjoy it.

I'm not certain if it's considered old but my favorite movie is LA Montgomery "Anne of Green Gables". I have watched this movie so many times now I could probably recite it. Tiquito I loved Home Alone also. Especially when he plays the old movie to make the thieves think he wasn't at home alone. I laughed at that.

Old for me would have to be before I was born. My favorite old movie is The Labyrinth with David Bowie. As a child I sat in front of the television and watched it many times. I remember all the lyrics to all the songs as well. I even have a tattoo of the worm on my arm.

My favorite old movie is Love Story because is a romantic film that shows how the love is a great feeling that never ends.
Each time that I have the chance to watch it I cry again. Nowadays there are not many films with histories like this.
I invite to enjoy this unforgetable movie!

I'd have to say my favorite "old movie" is The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan. I adored that movie, and watched it over and over again! I was so sad when Natasha Richardson died (the one who played their mom), and haven't really wanted to watch it since! But, it was my favorite childhood movie.

My favorite old movie is Patton. I watched Patton for a government class and I actually enjoyed it. This is an older movie that has both action and history in it. It's the kind of movie that makes learning fun.

The best ever made film when I was a child would be Evil Dead.It fulfills all the categories that horror, thriller or suspense movie deserves.Sam Raimi's best story in any movie would be Evil Dead.Actually the most disturbing part which was criticized was the blood shed seen excessively but in that age it was quite common. You will notice that many Italian, French and Japanese films of the age were based on the plot of massacre. But the old box office hit was definitely Evil Dead.

My favorite old movie is the same as yours, which is "Casablanca". I love the story line and the song which says, "You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss..." I must have watched this movie over 100 times! And, the line that Bogart told Ingrid Bergman, "Here's looking at you babe" is so awesome. Casablanca the movie is truly a timeless classic.

When it comes to favorite old movies, I have tons of favorites, ranging from the Charlie Chaplin silent movies, to memorable films like Casa Blanca and even the God Father as well as Dirty Dancing. That last one is one of my absolute favorites, I have seen this movie millions of times and I never get tired from it.

I didn't watch 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. I have read all the three books in the series and they were the worst books I ever read. Watching a movie based on these books would be wasting my time further.
Coming to favorite old movies, my all- time favorite movie is 'Sound of Music' which is about a free-spirited nun who falls in love with a widower who has six children. I also love Roman Holiday, Ben Hur, My Fair Lady, Gone with the wind, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Lawrence of Arabia. God Father is another classic movie that I love to watch.

I have several of those and they're just as good as ever. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest got me hooked to Jack Nicholson movies. I also have movies like Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood), all the James Bond films, Shaft and The Godfather. On my softer side I prefer the classic Annie, starred by Shirley Temple, and Cannonball Run with Burt Reynolds, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and a host of other great actors.
