I realize that Roger Goodell is currently the NFL commissioner, and, as of right now, there are no plans for him to step down or retire. However, I would like to start the conversation for Peyton Manning to be his successor. I think he is one of the smartest, well-intentioned, and level-headed businessmen in the field of football. He has been a student of the game his entire life. He is a Super Bowl champion, a former MVP, a very good analyst, a great husband and father. His personality has awarded him many amazing sponsorships, commercials, and guest spots on television. His charisma has been exceptional on and off the field and he already has made history in both.
I believe if Peyton were the commissioner he would look after the best interests of the players, uphold the sanctity of the establishment of the NFL, and be a wonderful representative to the world of sports administration.
Peyton has been asked whether or not he would consider the position, and up to this point, he has said he has no interest. I think he would be amazing at it! He has so much experience and still is so involved with football. I think if Peyton knew how much support he would have maybe we could change his mind!

I could see that. He is well-liked which would be a good start. He knows the game which isn't always the case for people in those positions even though it should be. He clearly has a business mind and that's a big part of it. Overall, I think he'd do a good job and can't be any worse than some of the other commissioners out there.
