Do you consider calligraphy as an art form?

Calligraphy to me is a way of writing in a neat and elegant way, some people call it art .
I still haven't been convinced.

 

My handwriting is never being good and I am lucky enough to use different kind of fonts on computer, but if people can write that beautifully and neatly on the paper and with various kind of pen and brushes, I would respect it and would call it an art.
I don't have any talent for it.
