Is it possible for two people to have the same personality? According to me, I don't think so. We portray subtle differences since everyone is a unique individual. The importance of personality as a predictor for sports performance has been recognized by psychology which defines it as psychological qualities that contribute to an individual's enduring and distinctive patterns of feeling, thinking and behaving. Personality influences sport choice. For instance, an extrovert may be more inclined to play team sports, while introverts are likely to lean towards individual activities. Confidence is the key element of how personality impacts sports performances. An athlete who has confidence with himself or herself will more likely succeed than one who is wracked with self-doubt. It can also help boost motivation levels. Identifying personality traits of an athlete is very important since coaches could use the players in best times and suitable positions. Also by knowing players personality traits, the coaches are able to control them during the games.
