When I was a young girl back in Primary school, I used to love gospel music so much. We used to sing in church, and also go and compete with other parishes during major events like Christmas and new year. Our parish always used to be the first one in such competitions because of my effort.
When I joined high school, I changed my mind and began loving hip hop music and reggae. Every Saturday, our school would arrange entertainment for us, and actually we would listen to those favorite hip hops and reggae songs. I was lucky because I was made the entertainment prefect, and I used to dictate which music should be played! Some other students never enjoyed such music, but the majority did.
After I left school, I have been bored by the so called reggae and hip hop music, and I am back into gospels and traditional songs. I don't why this transition is moving in the reverse direction, but I understand that sometimes, some things come with age. Apart from age, music type preference is also dependent on gender. The type of music that is preferred by boys may not be the same music preferred by girls or ladies.

I agree. Music become more important to us when we get older. During adolescent I used to hear intense music but with time as I grew, I listen to music that change my social and psychological needs.
